Oricell Therapeutics (原启生物) is a China-based oncology immunotherapy company focused on CAR-T cell therapies for solid tumors, built on its proprietary Ori®Ab antibody screening platform, Ori®Armoring structural platform and OnGo(Fast)CMC process. Its co-founder, chairman and CEO is Dr. 杨焕凤. Its lead asset is Ori-C101, an autologous GPC3-targeting CAR-T for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma that could become the world's first approved CAR-T for liver cancer; it has completed an investigator-initiated study and a registrational Phase I, and entered a pivotal Phase II trial. In data presented orally at ASCO 2026, Ori-C101 posted a 50% ORR across 18 evaluable end-line HCC patients — rising to 66.7% at the recommended Phase II dose with disease control near 90%, well above existing second-line standards — which 杨焕凤 described as the third ASCO oral presentation for the program.

On financing, Qiming Venture Partners has backed the company since its Pre-A round; in January 2026 Oricell closed a $70 million first tranche of its Series C co-led by the Beijing Medical and Health Industry Investment Fund, Qiming and a global healthcare fund, followed in April 2026 by a $110 million pre-IPO round co-led by Vivo Capital, the Beijing fund, Qiming and others, with QIA and NGS among the participants. Beyond Ori-C101, its pipeline includes the secretory CAR-T OriC902, which has shown breakthrough efficacy in last-line solid tumor patients, and a dual-target in vivo CAR-T already in exploratory clinical study.
