Penglai Data (蓬涞数据) is a Shanghai-based hospital operations-management software company that Yunqi Capital led in its Series A round . Founded by Wang Zhigang, a former clinician and public-hospital executive, the company grew out of work he began in 2007 on hospital data-integration platforms and deepened through years of hands-on practice in hospital performance management . Penglai Data targets the DRG-era need for leaner hospital administration, building what it describes as an intelligent operations platform driven by data, modelling and AI algorithms . As of early 2023 it had sustained more than 50% annual growth for four consecutive years, serving over 400 hospital clients (roughly 80% of them tier-three facilities) and had accumulated a proprietary database spanning 30-plus provinces and 186,000-plus RBRVS/DRG project codes . The company sits within Yunqi's broader portfolio of industrial-digitisation bets alongside the likes of Baibu, JD Industrial and XTransfer .
