PhiGent Robotics (鉴智机器人) is a Beijing-based autonomous driving solutions provider founded by Dr. Dalong Du . The company has developed a close technical partnership with Horizon Robotics, becoming the first to deploy an L2++ autonomous driving production solution on Horizon's Journey 5 chip and later covering highway and urban NOA projects for multiple domestic and international automakers using both Journey 5 and Journey 6 series compute platforms . In March 2023, it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with BYD Semiconductor focused on binocular stereo vision systems for automotive intelligence .

The company raised tens of millions of dollars across its angel and Pre-A rounds within two months of founding in 2021, followed by a $30 million Series A led by Zhence Capital in May 2022 . By late 2022, PhiGent had completed five funding rounds totaling nearly $100 million, with investors including 5Y Capital, Atypical Ventures, GSR Ventures, Xianghe Capital, and Horizon as a strategic backer . In December 2022, AMD former global VP Dr. Shan Yi joined as co-founder and CEO . 5Y Capital continued to hold the company as a portfolio investment as of early 2025 .
