PPIO

PPIO (派欧云) is a Chinese independent edge-cloud services provider founded in 2018 by Yao Xin, the former founder of PPTV, and co-founder Wenyu Wang . The company builds distributed computing networks that pool fragmented edge computing resources to deliver ultra-low-latency, high-bandwidth services for scenarios like AI inference, cloud gaming, live streaming, and spatial computing .

As of 2022, PPIO had raised over 400 million RMB across multiple rounds, with BlueRun Ventures backing it from angel stage through continued follow-on investments; its 250 million RMB Series A in 2022 was co-led by Panlin Capital, CCV, Zhangjiang Sci-Tech VC, and IMO Ventures . By that year its infrastructure covered over 1,000 counties and cities across more than 30 provinces . In 2024 the company launched a compute-cloud product targeting LLM inference cost reduction and appointed Huazhong University professor Jin Hai as chair of its technical committee . At the 2024 WAIC it showcased its GPU elastic compute product "Paiou Compute Cloud" alongside its core edge-computing offerings for generative AI and rendering workloads .
