Qoder Work

QoderWork is an AI agent product from Alibaba's Qoder team that extends AI Coding capabilities to people who can't write code — operations staff, product managers, HR — letting them hand off multi-step office workflows (collecting info from a website, processing it locally, publishing to another channel) to an agent rather than a traditional IDE. Per the Qoder team's technical lead Xie Jibao (唐三) in a 十字路口Crossing interview, it was built by a five-person team in seven days, dogfooded end-to-end with Qoder's own Quest/SPEC workflow, and launched on January 30, 2026. The trigger, as he tells it, was twofold: model cross-application ability finally hit an inflection point with Opus 4.6 in late 2025, and Anthropic shipping its own desktop agent Co-Work "made the decision for us" — QoderWork is deliberately positioned against Co-Work as a multi-model, application-first product (intelligent routing across models rather than a token sink for one model), with ambitions to grow from a capable assistant into a proactive, memory-equipped local agent integrated with IM.
