Sentire

Sentire (思腾®) is an endoscopic surgical robot self-developed by Cornerstone Robotics (康诺思腾), a surgical robotics company founded in 2019 and backed by Qiming Venture Partners . The system received NMPA approval in China on September 29, 2024 , went through nearly a hundred iterations over six years of development , and by mid-2025 had been used in over 250 clinical procedures — with the company claiming performance on par with top international brands and advantages on some key parameters . It has since picked up EU CE (MDR) and Singapore HSA certifications , served as the platform for what was described as the world's first autonomous surgery validation in a clinical setting, developed with a Chinese University of Hong Kong team , and in September 2026 became the vehicle for a roughly $700 million strategic investment from Medtronic, which also gained distribution rights in certain approved markets outside the US .
