Shenzhen Capital Group

Shenzhen Capital Group (深创投/SCGC) is a Chinese state-backed investment fund led by Ni Zewang, who took the helm in 2015 after the retirement of long-time chief Jin Haitao . In the period covered by elsewhere's corpus, it has been an active lead investor across hardware, AI, and advanced technology: it led or co-led rounds in GPU chip designer Moore Threads , consumer electronics brand Baseus , robotics companies Galaxy Universal and AI2Robotics , and fusion startup Nankai Hecheng , among others. It also established a dedicated AI fund, whose first disclosed investment went to Independent Variable Robotics in early 2026 . Its check sizes range from nine-figure RMB co-leads to smaller follow-on positions, and it frequently invests alongside both global venture firms and local government guidance funds.
