In 2023, Wu gained unexpected public attention after performing stand-up comedy at a venture capital festival, where he joked about industry shifts: "Before, we raised USD funds drinking red wine and playing Texas hold'em; now we raise RMB funds drinking baijiu and playing guandan" .
