Singleron (新格元, Singleron Biotechnologies) is a Nanjing-based company focused on high-throughput single-cell multi-omics analysis, founded in January 2018 to commercialize microfluidic single-cell sequencing technology originating with Yale professor Fan Rong, whose IsoCode method was ranked The Scientist's top medical technology invention of 2017; the company licensed the technology exclusively from Yale to develop molecular diagnostics and automated instruments for clinical diagnosis and tumor immunology . Its co-founder and CEO is Dr. Fang Nan, previously global R&D vice director at Qiagen's German headquarters, where he led development of over 20 research and clinical products including the GeneReader sequencer program . The company raised a tens-of-millions-RMB angel round in 2018 led by Yuanhe Origin with FreeS Fund participating , followed by FreeS-backed Pre-A participation in 2019 and a near-US$100 million Series B in 2021 , positioning its single-cell platform across research, clinical testing, health management, and drug development.
