SoundAI

SoundAI (声智科技) is a Beijing-based acoustic AI company founded in April 2016 by a core team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with Chen Xiaoliang as founder . It builds far-field voice interaction technology — echo cancellation, noise suppression, sound-source localization, far-field wake-up and voiceprint recognition — delivered through its SoundAI Azero system and a full chip-module-device stack, with customers spanning Xiaomi, Baidu, Alibaba, Huawei and Tencent . Its products (smart speakers, cameras, robots) had shipped over a million cumulative units by mid-2017 .

FreeS Fund (峰瑞资本) led its angel round in May 2016, followed through the Pre-A and a near-RMB-100M Series A in September 2017 alongside Baidu and others, and joined the RMB 200M Series B in late 2018 led by Addor Capital .
