StartDT (奇点云) is an independent third-party data technology group founded in 2016 by Zai Xing (张金银, also known as 行在), who serves as founder and CEO, with Liu Ying (刘莹) as co-founder and COO . The company positions itself around a "data cloud + analytics cloud" product matrix, anchored by its self-developed data cloud operating system StartDT SimbaOS launched in late 2023, alongside analytics capabilities from its 2022 acquisition of GrowingIO—described in the industry as the only major merger in China's data sector that year .

StartDT has raised multiple rounds including Pre-A and A led by 5Y Capital, an RMB 80 million B2 round with ByteDance as sole lead in early 2021, over RMB 200 million in C1 funding led by Taikang Life later that year, and nearly RMB 100 million in C2 led by Yuhang State Investment by end-2022—bringing total C-round funding to nearly RMB 300 million .
