Tony Qu

Tony Qu (屈田) is a former Alibaba employee turned early-stage investor and founder of ATM Capital. He began investing in mobile internet in 2007 and was among the first-generation internet product managers in China . During his time at Alibaba, he successfully led investments in UC Web and Meituan , and he later backed J&T Express, supporting its controversial decision to enter the Chinese market against conventional wisdom . As 暗涌Waves reported, he believed Southeast Asia would produce a logistics giant on the scale of SF Express or ZTO, and saw J&T's path to becoming a truly global company through combining Chinese execution with full localisation .
