Tony Qu

Tony Qu (屈田) is a former Alibaba employee and early-stage investor who backed Meituan and J&T Express. He joined Alibaba around the mid-2000s and, though he "didn't make many moves" there, successfully led the company's investments in UCWeb and Meituan . In 2023 he was described as founder of ATM Capital, which invested in J&T Express — he supported the logistics firm's controversial decision to enter China's fiercely competitive domestic market, believing a "Chinese team plus full localization" could build a truly global company . As 暗涌Waves noted, he began investing in mobile internet in 2007 and is regarded as part of China's first generation of internet product managers .
