WPS Lingxi

WPS Lingxi (WPS 灵犀) is Kingsoft Office's native AI office agent, launched on August 4, 2025 as WPS AI 3.0 — it runs side-by-side with the WPS Office suite in a split-screen interaction, letting users create documents, decks, and more through natural-language dialogue without leaving the product . It has since evolved into a standalone product: the 2026 "Lingxi Professional Edition" ships with its own domain rather than inside the WPS client, a bet CEO Zhang Qingyuan framed as "building the phone, not improving the film camera," and it marks Kingsoft's shift from "Office AI" (AI enhancing Office, 2023–2024) to "AI Office" (AI-native rebuilding, from 2025) . The product is built around three ideas Kingsoft sums up as "understands your context, high-quality delivery, professional Office operation": project-based memory instead of blank chat windows, end-to-end task completion (it can operate a browser across systems, and users can package repeatable workflows as zero-code "Skills"), and outputs built on WPS's native document APIs — editable PPTs, formula-preserving spreadsheets, reviewable documents — drawing on 38 years of the company's document technology . Its target users are people who deliver formal office output at high frequency — PR staff writing proposals, salespeople doing quotes, finance teams cleaning data, teachers assembling course materials . It has also been integrated into WPS for Pad, where cloud-space documents can be handed directly to Lingxi to generate presentations, sheets, and docs .
