Xinyi Information Technology

Xinyi Information Technology (芯翼信息科技) is an NB-IoT communication chip designer founded by Xiao Jianhong, who holds a PhD from Texas A&M University and previously served as a senior principal scientist at Broadcom in the US . FreeS Fund led its angel round after a single meeting with the team, with founding partner Li Feng later recalling they told Xiao, "we're investing in you as a person—as long as you persist, we'll invest" . The company completed its first successful tape-out in early 2018 , raised tens of millions of RMB in Series A funding that December , and went on to close a nearly 500 million RMB Series B round in 2021 with follow-on from FreeS Fund and others . Its NB-IoT project won second prize at the 2019 "Win in Nanjing" overseas talent entrepreneurship competition .
