Xmov

Xmov is a Chinese metaverse infrastructure company that builds virtual human and AI avatar technology. In April 2022 it announced a combined $130 million Series B and C funding round, with the $110 million Series C led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 alongside a strategic investor; Sequoia China and 5Y Capital had invested across all three rounds . By mid-2023 Xmov had launched what it called the first "virtual human intelligent agent," and had struck partnerships with Tencent Cloud and Bohua in the latter half of that year . The company's positioning sits at the intersection of AI-generated content and virtual beings — 5Y Capital, an early backer, featured it repeatedly in portfolio updates through early 2024 .
