Yongfeng Xia

Yongfeng Xia is the founder and CEO of Superhexa (蜂巢科技), a Beijing-based startup building AI-powered smart glasses . He launched the company in 2020 after nearly two decades in China's tech media and hardware ecosystem .

Before Superhexa, Xia spent roughly six years at Xiaomi. He joined the company in early 2014 with Lei Jun's invitation, initially working in the生态链 (ecosystem) division before moving to the smartphone department in 2018 . His path to hardware entrepreneurship was preceded by a media career: he was a lead writer at *Business Value* (《商业价值》) and a co-founder of GeekPark (「极客公园」), the influential Chinese tech media platform .

Superhexa's current product line centers on audio-enabled AI glasses sold through partnerships with traditional eyewear retailers, including a strategic collaboration with Baodao Optical (星创视界/宝岛眼镜) that Xia, a longtime customer of the chain, announced in late 2024 . He has described audio glasses as capable of growing at "two to three times" the pace of traditional eyewear sales annually .
