Yunchu New Energy (云储新能源) is a digital energy storage company founded by Professor Ci Song, who has spent years researching digital energy storage technology . The company builds novel digital energy storage solutions from first principles, aiming to address safety and cost challenges in the energy storage sector .

BlueRun Ventures has been a key backer, leading the company's over-100-million-yuan Pre-A round in 2022 and remaining active through subsequent rounds . In May 2024, Yunchu closed a tens-of-millions-of-yuan Series A led by Qiandao Fund, with Zhenghai Group participating, to expand production capacity and advance R&D .

The company works closely with major state-owned enterprises including China Mobile, China Three Gorges Corporation, State Grid, CHD (China Huadian), and China Tower, deploying its technology across demonstration projects .
