ZhiHe Computing

ZhiHe Computing (智子芯元) is a Chinese startup building an AI-for-Computing infrastructure stack, founded in 2025 . The company develops KernelCAT, an automated computing acceleration platform aimed at optimizing computing systems through AI rather than relying solely on hardware iteration . Its core bet is that "buying chips does not equal having usable compute power" — software and AI must reconstruct the efficiency boundary of computing itself .

In June 2026, ZhiHe Computing closed a tens-of-millions RMB angel+ round led by Dingfeng Venture Capital, Inno Angel Fund, and Shoucheng Capital, with existing shareholder Tongchuang Weiye making an additional investment; ZhenFund, its first institutional backer since inception, also continued its support . The funding is earmarked for KernelCAT R&D, domestic compute ecosystem adaptation, and team expansion . ZhenFund frames the investment thesis around the scarcity of senior talent in HPC, compilers, and operator optimization, and the approaching limit of manual tuning for increasingly complex workloads .
