Zhongxiang Zhang

Zhongxiang Zhang (张忠祥) is the founder and CEO of Lice Technology (力策科技), a Shenzhen LiDAR company — per 峰瑞资本 (FreeS Fund) pieces, he holds a PhD and is a specialist in optoelectronic systems and integrated optics, with nearly a decade in LiDAR R&D . He registered the company in 2013, initially sustaining it with project contracts totaling over 2 million RMB rather than fundraising, and around 2016–2017, as the automotive LiDAR market heated up, locked its direction on pure solid-state optical phased array (OPA) LiDAR . His team eventually developed an OPA LiDAR chip and prototype, which FreeS Fund described as carving out a position in a red ocean and winning capital-market recognition .
