First off, we don't do Christmas Eve here. We do Victory Eve.
Second, changing your profile pic for Christmas — just slapping on a Santa hat? Way too basic. Instant block.
So I used Gemini 3 to build a little app. Instead of just adding a Santa hat, you upload your avatar and get yourself riding a reindeer, with a Christmas tree behind you covered in blue passports.

But then I ran into a problem.
What if someone objects? What if they think changing your profile pic for Christmas is a betrayal of your ancestors?
Like, say they're using a Nezha avatar — no way they'd want their Demon Pill turned into a Holy Egg.
So I added a detection mechanism. It tests your "yummy" level to judge whether you deserve to wear this sinful Santa hat.
What's "yummy"?
You upload your avatar, and the AI analyzes whether your "Chinese-ness" is strong enough.
The opposite of Chinese-ness is Western-ness. Western-ness is yummy. (Sorry.)
See, with this detection system, it immediately spotted that the Nezha avatar's yummy level was way too low — no need to blindly follow the Santa hat trend.
But as a foreign holiday resistor, you can still swap in a new avatar to express your stance and attitude.
Hey, now this little app has broad appeal.
Later I tried Aobing too. Sure enough, #LotusRootBiscuit — both scored exactly the same yummy level.
Then I tested a bunch of other trending avatars. This chubby little cat, for instance — probably loves McDonald's too much, instantly flagged as a Westerner.
Next time don't send lemon water, send some wine and coffee instead.
And this AI really keeps up with the trends. I uploaded a Demon Slayer avatar, and it immediately went in for the serious critique — super high yummy score, basically suspected American.
If I got rated like that, I'd definitely faint from anger.
So I tried it on my own avatar. Turns out I'm a spiritual American donkey too.
That's not how I see myself at all. So I realized this app has another major flaw — it's purely judging by looks, it doesn't care about what's actually in our hearts.
So I added a soul-searching round.
Random questions that expose the user's true stance on foreign holidays, giving me a chance to prove myself.
That's right, y'all go wear your Santa hats. Me in my hanfu? Not sad at all.
