Hyperparameter Raises $100 Million in Series B Funding to Build Living AI
Dedicated to building out the full "gaming + tech + social" pipeline.
On January 4, 2022, Hyperparameter announced the completion of a $100 million Series B funding round, led by HSG with follow-on investments from existing shareholders 5Y Capital and Gaorong Ventures. The company has now reached unicorn valuation. Gaorong Ventures had previously invested in Hyperparameter's Series A round in 2019 and continued to back subsequent rounds.
Founded in early 2019, Hyperparameter is dedicated to transforming game content production through artificial intelligence, creating "living AI," and redefining the relationship between humans and AI. Founder Yongsheng Liu previously served as General Manager of Tencent AI Lab and as a T4-level technical expert. The team began exploring game AI as early as 2015, developing the world-class Go AI "Jueyi" and the Honor of Kings AI "Juewu," and was the first in the industry to achieve breakthroughs in 3D FPS game AI.
Unique AI Bots, Serving User Experience
Over two years since its founding, the Hyperparameter team has built deep connections with numerous top game producers and product teams.
Currently, Hyperparameter's AI bots peak at nearly one million concurrent users daily, serving hundreds of millions of users across more than 50 countries. In multiple top-tier products with tens of millions of daily active users, the bots have been operating stably for over a year. Recently, Hyperparameter achieved the industry's first large-scale commercial deployment in the 3D FPS domain, providing 400,000 AI bots in online service. Across broader and more diverse scenarios, AI bots have also created substantial commercial value. Hyperparameter has received positive customer feedback, with a 100% customer retention and renewal rate and a 120% annual repurchase rate.
