Global logistics robotics leader Geekplus closes $100 million Series E1 funding round
In the first half of 2022, order value doubled as the company accelerated global expansion and drove R&D innovation.

Geekplus, a global leader in logistics robotics, recently announced it has raised $100 million in a new funding round led by Intel Capital, Vertex Growth, and Qingyue Capital, among others, bringing its post-money valuation to over $2 billion.
The proceeds will primarily accelerate Geekplus's global market expansion and advance its underlying technology R&D and key product innovations. Prior to this round, Geekplus closed its Series D in early 2021, led by CPE. Gaorong Ventures co-led Geekplus's Series A back in 2016 and participated in subsequent rounds.

Leading the logistics robotics industry in scale and growth
In 2021, Geekplus recorded over 2 billion RMB in sales orders and more than 1 billion RMB in revenue. In 2022, the company maintained robust momentum: first-half orders doubled year-over-year, and it projected 100% annual growth for the full year, continuing to lead the logistics robotics industry in both business volume and growth rate.
"The rapid growth we've seen stems from the successful execution of our global strategy and the explosive demand for logistics automation," said Yong Zheng, Geekplus's founder and CEO. "Having scaled rapidly over the past few years, we're now entering a phase of commercially sustainable profitability."
"We're highly confident in our future prospects. First, labor-intensive logistics operations have massive, unmet demand for robotics. Second, our first-mover advantage in going global has given us a solid competitive position in overseas markets, which continues to fuel our worldwide expansion. And third, our unique three-pillar technology platform — robotics, systems, and algorithms — doesn't just enable our full product portfolio; the synergies across these platforms improve R&D efficiency and reduce costs, opening up even greater possibilities for Geekplus going forward," Zheng noted.
Following this round, Geekplus will continue executing on its established strategy: accelerating global expansion while sustaining growth momentum. It will also intensify R&D innovation in its robotics technology platform and key product solutions to build differentiated advantages and better serve customer needs. By continuously strengthening its competitiveness, Geekplus aims to empower enterprises worldwide to achieve intelligent, flexible logistics and supply chain transformation, support the industry's shift toward high-efficiency, low-carbon green development, and accelerate the global evolution of smart logistics.

Three consecutive global market share titles, with overseas advantages standing out
Geekplus is committed to providing a full range of logistics robotics products and all-scenario solutions that enable enterprises to upgrade to intelligent logistics. According to Interact Analysis, a leading research firm, Geekplus has ranked first globally in AMR market share for three consecutive years.
The company currently serves over 500 major global customers including Nike, Walmart, Siemens, BMW, Toyota, and DHL. Many of these clients have made repeat purchases and expanded Geekplus deployments globally, further driving strong business growth. Geekplus has also established deep strategic partnerships with top-tier technology companies across multiple sectors, including Intel, Microsoft, and Bosch Rexroth, jointly advancing collaborative R&D and innovative applications in robotics technology.

As the first Chinese logistics robotics company to successfully expand overseas, Geekplus has established regional headquarters in the United States, Europe, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Hong Kong, with fully developed local teams. It now has mature sales, delivery, and service capabilities and extensive experience in over 30 countries worldwide.
Leveraging this first-mover advantage, Geekplus has built formidable industry barriers and a protective moat for its international business across overseas patents, product certifications, safety requirements, data privacy standards, dedicated local teams, and after-sales service systems.

Platform technology breakthroughs and product-business synergy driving sustainable growth
Beyond its strong commercial performance, Geekplus has maintained industry-leading innovation since its founding. The company has filed over 950 patent applications globally and been granted more than 400 patents. Recently, Geekplus has rolled out its proprietary next-generation all-in-one goods-to-person picking solution PopPick and the innovative SkyPick overhead-storage, floor-picking system, continuously pushing the logistics robotics and warehouse automation industries forward through product innovation.

Geekplus currently boasts the industry's most comprehensive robotics product line, covering not only full-scenario capabilities for storage, picking, and sorting in warehouse environments, but also industrial handling robots and autonomous forklifts for manufacturing applications. Additionally, the company has built Matrix, an industry-standard robot hardware-software technology platform, and RMS, a robot fleet management system platform. These two technology platforms give Geekplus the ability to rapidly develop high-performance, reliable robotics products and solutions, further solidifying its technological competitiveness.

Thanks to the synergy of its multi-product portfolio and global business network, combined with cost advantages from economies of scale, Geekplus can deliver more comprehensive, professional solutions and reliable operations and maintenance services to customers. Years of focused dedication to providing optimal solutions have earned Geekplus customer trust and built strong word-of-mouth and brand reputation, continuously strengthening its business competitiveness.
Looking ahead, Zheng stated: "Geekplus's vision is to become a great global robotics company. Starting from logistics scenarios, we've developed industry-leading logistics robotics products that help enterprises worldwide efficiently achieve smart logistics upgrades. At the same time, we're accumulating core robotics technology and system capabilities, building foundational technology platforms that provide the technical bedrock for future business extension and the realization of our corporate vision — driving Geekplus toward sustainable, long-term growth."
