Gaorong Ventures Honored with 36Kr's "Top 10 Most Founder-Friendly VC Firms in China 2019" and Other Awards

Today, at the 2019 China Investors Future Summit, 36Kr released its 2019 Top 100 Most Entrepreneur-Friendly Investors and Investment Firms list. Gaorong Ventures was named to the "2019 Top 10 Most Entrepreneur-Friendly VC Firms in China."
Additionally, in the "2019 Top Ten Sectors of the New Economy" category, Gaorong Ventures received three sector-specific honors: "2019 Top 10 Education Investors in China," "2019 Top 10 Enterprise Service Investors in China," and "2019 Top 10 New National Brand Investors in China."
Chang Chen, founding partner of Gaorong Ventures, was named to the "2019 Top 10 Most Entrepreneur-Friendly Investors in China." Fellow founding partners Gao Xiang and Yue Bin were both recognized on the "2019 Top 100 Most Entrepreneur-Friendly Investors in China" list.
The rankings were based on a comprehensive evaluation of fundraising, investment, and exit performance. 36Kr conducted a 360-degree assessment using specific metrics including capital raised, number and amount of investments, star projects and their scale, level of involvement in portfolio companies, follow-on financing performance, as well as exit volume and value, realized and unrealized returns.
The rankings also incorporated entrepreneur feedback evaluating investors and firms across three dimensions: professional expertise, post-investment support, and brand value.
36Kr noted that as 2019 began, the market as a whole was searching for direction and exploring new paths, with significant shifts on both the capital and asset sides. Rooted in industry, integrating resources, and creating value had become the dominant themes — a new era of investing was dawning.
