In recent days, the novel coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan has weighed heavily on the minds of 1.4 billion Chinese people. We extend our deepest respect to the medical workers, journalists, and other "heroes in harm's way" fighting on the front lines.
As we collectively pray for safety, we hope to contribute what little we can to this battle against the epidemic: Gaorong Ventures has completed a donation of RMB 1 million to the Wuhan Charity Federation. The funds will be earmarked exclusively for frontline prevention and treatment efforts in Wuhan and other affected areas, including medical supply procurement and support for healthcare workers.
In addition, facing this severe outbreak, members of the Gaorong family of companies have stepped up one after another, actively leveraging their platform resources or launching donation drives to provide whatever assistance they can.
NYSE: ZEPP: Raised RMB 10 million to purchase medical supplies for affected areas
On New Year's Eve, NYSE: ZEPP announced the cancellation of its annual company party and raised RMB 10 million to purchase medical supplies for the affected regions. The company will also closely monitor the outbreak's development, mobilizing its supplier network and global channel resources to locate urgently needed medical materials.
Beibei Group: Batch delivery of 1 million masks and other medical protective supplies to Wuhan medical institutions
On January 25, Beibei Group announced it would deliver 1 million masks and other medical protective supplies in batches to relevant Wuhan medical institutions. The batch deliveries include N95 masks, surgical masks, and other materials. On January 25, the first batch of 100,000 medical masks was already handed to SF Express for shipment to Wuhan hospitals. Additional medical supplies are still being urgently sourced and will be delivered as quickly as possible.
Shuidi Company: Launched online fundraising for severely affected areas including Hubei
In response to the outbreak, Shuidi Company coordinated with multiple public welfare foundations to actively allocate and donate resources, launching online fundraising for severely affected areas including Hubei, and actively participating in epidemic prevention and control.
On the afternoon of January 25, Shuidi Public Welfare and the Shuidi Convergence Foundation jointly launched the "Frontline Epidemic Prevention, Shuidi Assists" fundraising project online, with a target of RMB 5 million, primarily for epidemic prevention material assistance in severely affected areas including Hubei, Sichuan, and Guangxi. The fundraising has now been completed, and Shuidi Company also provided a 10:1 matching donation, contributing an additional RMB 500,000.
Shuidi Public Welfare stated that as of the evening of January 25, it had already coordinated offline for 200,000 N95 masks and 1.4 million medical masks, which would be shipped within two days of completing fundraising, striving to transport them to the front lines of the affected areas as soon as possible. The organization is also mobilizing various social resources to continue coordinating more epidemic prevention materials, aiming to reach a target of 2 million masks.
Earlier, Shuidi Company had already raised RMB 1.5 million in social donations and assisted the affected areas with 20,000 masks.
Danke Apartment: Providing exclusive free housing for Wuhan medical workers
Danke Apartment learned that Wuhan medical staff, after exhausting shifts, faced commuting difficulties getting home. The company has made available several hundred exclusive units near key Wuhan hospitals for medical workers to stay in free of charge.
Wuhan medical staff can reply "加油武汉" in the WeChat public account "蛋壳公寓生活" to view the housing list. To arrange occupancy, they can call customer service at 400-063-9688 or leave a message directly through the public account backend, and Danke Apartment staff will respond promptly.
Dewu App: Donated RMB 1 million to Hubei Provincial Red Cross Foundation
On January 26, Dewu App announced an initial donation of RMB 1 million to the Hubei Provincial Red Cross Foundation to establish the "Dewu Anti-Novel Coronavirus Special Assistance Fund," to be used for purchasing medical supplies and supporting epidemic prevention and control efforts across multiple locations in Hubei.
Dewu App has urgently initiated communication and matching with domestic and overseas medical supply vendors; once procurement is completed, donations will be immediately made and shipped to Hubei to help alleviate the shortage of medical supplies on the front lines of this epidemic battle. Dewu App stated, "The pursuit of beautiful things is trendy, but the positive energy of overcoming difficulties together is even more trendy."
