Anycubic Raises Hundreds of Millions of RMB in Series B, Cementing Its Position as Global Leader in Consumer 3D Printing

Focused on consumer-grade 3D printing.

Recently, global consumer 3D printing leader Anycubic announced the completion of its Series B financing, raising several hundred million RMB. The round was co-led by Guotai Haitong Securities and Fortune Venture Capital, with participation from Challenjers Venture Capital, Mirae Asset Capital (China), and Qingbo Fund. Gaorong Ventures had previously led Anycubic's Series A round at the end of 2021.

The new funding will primarily go toward FDM multi-color/multi-material printing, high-end resin (SLA/DLP/LCD) products, core software and hardware, new material systems, and global distribution and localized service capabilities — further strengthening the company's product innovation and mass-scale delivery capabilities in the global consumer 3D printing market.

Founded in 2015, Anycubic has grown rapidly over the past decade, building out a complete industrial chain centered on consumer 3D printers and integrating cutting-edge materials with innovative applications. The company offers a product portfolio covering both FDM and resin-based printing, the two mainstream technology routes, with products sold in over 200 countries and regions worldwide. With more than 700 globally authorized patents, annual production capacity in the millions of units, and industry-leading market share, plus years of experience in large-scale manufacturing and global fulfillment, Anycubic is one of the very few consumer 3D printing brands globally that simultaneously possesses capabilities in product definition, engineering R&D, supply chain delivery, and global distribution.

FDM Multi-Color Breakthrough: Strategic Pivot in Two Years to Join the Global Leading Tier

FDM is the main channel for consumer 3D printing to reach the mass market, and multi-color/multi-material capability is becoming the key variable for upgrading the user experience.

Multi-color printing transforms 3D printing from "making a part" to "delivering a finished piece." In the past, single-color printing mainly satisfied needs for structural components, tools, and prototypes; multi-color printing brings figurines, tabletop games, home decor, educational models, and IP-derived products much closer to final form, significantly reducing post-processing costs for painting, assembly, and tuning.

At the end of 2023, Anycubic made a decisive push into high-speed, multi-color FDM and completed its product roadmap pivot in a short timeframe. Centered on products including the Kobra X, Kobra S1 Combo, and Kobra S1 Max, the company has continuously strengthened high-speed printing, multi-color/multi-material capability, stability, time and material efficiency, and out-of-the-box usability — driving multi-color FDM from "functional" to "reliably good, scalable, and replicable."

Through rapid product iteration and global channel operations, Anycubic's FDM business has achieved high-speed growth with rapidly expanding market share. The company has quickly grown from a brand with established advantages in resin printing to a global top-tier player in the multi-color FDM mainstream.

Long-Term Resin Printing Leadership: Photon P1 and P1 Max Strengthen High-End Professional Capabilities

Resin-based printing is the technical domain where Anycubic has built long-standing advantages. Compared to FDM, resin printing places greater emphasis on precision, detail, surface quality, and material performance, with wide applications in figurine modeling, jewelry design, industrial prototyping, dental models, and small-batch production.

Over many years, Anycubic's Photon series has established strong brand recognition among global resin printing users, with continuous advancement of resin equipment toward higher speed, higher precision, greater stability, and smarter operation.

This year, the company released the new Photon P1 and Photon P1 Max, further refining its high-end resin product matrix. The Photon P1 targets professional creators and quasi-production users, emphasizing high-precision forming, stable printing, and intelligent assisted experiences; the Photon P1 Max addresses larger-scale models and batch printing needs, helping creators, small studios, and professional users access high-quality printing capabilities with lower barriers to entry.

Multi-color FDM opens up the mass market, while resin printing reinforces high-precision and professional applications. These dual technology routes together constitute Anycubic's core competitive strength, enabling the company to cover more complete needs from entry-level users to professional creators, and from home creation to small-batch production.

Global Scale Delivery: Integrated System Capabilities Build Scalable Moats

Consumer 3D printing is moving from an early adopter geek market into broader population penetration. Beyond specs on a single machine, the combined capabilities of product definition, supply chain responsiveness, software experience, material compatibility, channel efficiency, and after-sales service have become increasingly critical.

Anycubic has established integrated capabilities spanning R&D, manufacturing, materials, distribution, and service. With annual production capacity in the millions of units, the company can continuously fulfill large-scale global delivery demands for hit products. At the same time, it reaches global users through a multi-layered network including D2C official websites/independent stores, Amazon, and agency channels, while continuously enhancing localized operations and service responsiveness in key markets.

AI is dramatically lowering the barrier for users to go from model to finished product. As a consumer technology company simultaneously connected to product innovation, advanced manufacturing, material systems, software tools, and global users, Anycubic is making sustained investments beyond hardware innovation — in slicer software, cloud platforms, user interfaces, auto-calibration, parameter recommendations, and more — to make complex printing workflows simpler.

Ouyang Lu, founder and CEO of Anycubic, stated: "Over the past decade, Anycubic has continued to deepen its focus on consumer 3D printing, enabling more users to enter the world of 3D printing with lower barriers. Resin printing is our long-accumulated area of strength, while multi-color FDM represents an important direction for consumer 3D printing to reach larger markets. Over the past two years, the company has completed rapid product iteration and market breakthroughs in high-speed, multi-color FDM. Going forward, we will continue investing in core hardware, material systems, software experience, and global service capabilities, so that more people can truly turn their creative ideas into usable, shareable works."
