Aozhe Raises RMB 200 Million in Series B+ Funding, Leading China's Low-Code Digital Transformation Sector
Low-code technology is becoming the core engine of enterprise digital transformation.
Aozhe has completed a RMB 200 million Series B+ funding round, further cementing its leadership in China's low-code digital enterprise services sector. Gaorong Ventures, which led Aozhe's Series B round in March 2019, continued to invest in this round.
The proceeds will be directed toward product and technology R&D, accelerating market expansion, building out the sales and marketing infrastructure, and developing vertical industry solutions to help more enterprises speed up their digital transformation.
Empowering Enterprise Digital Upgrades Through Low-Code Technology
Aozhe is a leading low-code digital platform provider dedicated to helping enterprises and organizations achieve digital transformation. Its two core products, Chuan Cloud (氚云) and Aozhe CloudHub (奥哲·云枢), have served more than 100,000 enterprise clients, including 40% of China's Fortune 500 companies and numerous industry benchmarks.
The Aozhe team comprises China's earliest pioneers in low-code platforms. Founder and CEO Pingjun Xu was among the first-generation architects of low-code platforms in China. Co-founder and CTO Hua Zhang hails from Microsoft's SharePoint founding team. Fanjun Meng, who leads the Aozhe CloudHub business, built China's first cloud-based low-code platform. Together, these core members form a team with over two decades of enterprise informatization experience, establishing Aozhe's competitive strength and industry leadership.
Low-code technology enables rapid application development with minimal or no coding, dramatically shortening development timelines and reducing costs. In recent years, it has emerged as a new core engine for enterprise digital transformation.
This was especially evident during this year's COVID-19 outbreak, when government agencies, social institutions, and enterprises saw surging demand for digital pandemic-response tools — needs that low-code technology was uniquely positioned to fill. Within one week of the outbreak, Aozhe provided system-building support for pandemic response to roughly one-third of China's provincial-level regions, including Beijing, Tianjin, Guangdong, Hubei, and Hainan, rapidly responding to and delivering numerous related projects. The rapid-development advantages of low-code became even more pronounced under pandemic conditions.
Building Out Product Portfolio and Industry Solutions to Accelerate Market Leadership
Aozhe has established a comprehensive product matrix. Chuan Cloud, built on the DingTalk ecosystem, targets citizen developers and addresses the digital needs of SMEs with quick onboarding, rapid development, and ease of use. Aozhe CloudHub serves professional developers tackling more complex projects at large enterprises, partnering with PaaS vendors on ecosystem expansion to help companies build robust technology platforms and achieve end-to-end, full-spectrum, dev-and-ops-integrated digital solutions.

Aozhe's product strategy spans not only enterprises of all sizes — from SMEs to large and mega-large corporations — but also ensures its two products are not siloed from each other. The logic of bridging citizen developers and professional developers lies in addressing different levels of enterprise business requirements.
Pingjun Xu noted that Aozhe's industry leadership stems not only from its product portfolio built through years of focused low-code development, but also from its mature service system and industry expertise.
Aozhe's core consulting team brings more than ten years of experience, supported by over 500 channel partners, collectively ensuring a 90% on-time delivery rate for large-scale projects and maintaining high levels of client loyalty and satisfaction.
The company has already accumulated rich foundational templates and vertical industry solutions across hundreds of application scenarios in sectors including FMCG, real estate, financial services, energy, and government.
Hua Zhang emphasized that low-code today is no longer merely a tool — when paired with a mature service system, it can realize its full value as a core engine for enterprise digital transformation.
In the Digital Era, 65% of Applications Will Run on Low-Code Within Five Years
Since 2013, the Chinese government has issued multiple important policies to guide and safeguard the nation's digital development. "Digitalization used to simply help some companies thrive; today it's essential for survival," making the digital needs of domestic enterprises more urgent than ever. Looking ahead, 65% of applications will be built on low-code platforms within the next five years.
A Gaorong Ventures representative commented: "The Aozhe management team brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in enterprise informatization and digitalization. They've built two complete low-code product matrices — Chuan Cloud for SMEs and Aozhe CloudHub for medium-to-large enterprises — and what's particularly impressive is that both have achieved scaled commercial deployment. Beyond the core moat they've established in low-code technology and products, we believe the team's deep understanding of enterprise customer needs and its service infrastructure will enable Aozhe to help more companies accelerate digital transformation and lead China's low-code digital services industry."
