Lindun, an electronically controlled shock absorber company, completes angel round to advance intelligent, personalized EV chassis systems
Focused on the R&D and production of automotive electronic controlled shock absorbers.

Shanghai Lindun Automotive Chassis Parts Manufacturing Co., Ltd. ("Lindun") recently announced the completion of an angel round raising nearly RMB 20 million, led by Gaorong Ventures with follow-on investment from Yiyuan Capital. The proceeds will primarily fund accelerated R&D and testing of new products.
Founded in July 2023, Lindun focuses on the development, production, and vehicle integration and calibration of electronically controlled shock absorbers, addressing the chassis upgrade needs of new energy vehicles and accelerating the shift toward intelligent, personalized electric vehicle chassis systems.

Building Critical Components for Intelligent Chassis Enabling Safer, More Comfortable Electric Vehicle Driving
In recent years, China's auto industry has risen rapidly. In the first half of 2023, China became the world's largest auto exporter, and NEV production and sales have maintained the top global position.
Within this wave of upgrades, the intelligent and personalized transformation of vehicle chassis is emerging as the next major trend following electrification and intelligent cockpits. Intelligent chassis can meet consumers' growing demands for comfort while ensuring driving safety and responsive handling — truly enabling personalized chassis systems that adapt to different driving scenarios.
Electronically controlled shock absorbers (continuously variable damping shock absorbers) are a critical component of intelligent chassis. In the progression toward XYZ three-axis integrated control, shock absorbers govern Z-axis (vertical) movement while also influencing power delivery and braking effectiveness.
For electric vehicles in particular — which typically carry heavy battery packs and feature rapid response and high acceleration — electronically controlled shock absorbers can deliver better-matched chassis performance. When the vehicle motion controller detects changes in vehicle state, road conditions, and driving parameters, it can issue distinct commands to each of the four shock absorbers based on different algorithms and strategies, adjusting damping force in real time to suit various driving modes and road conditions, thereby delivering optimal dynamic performance.
Thanks to their continuously variable damping characteristics, these shock absorbers allow suspension systems to more precisely adapt to different loads and dynamic conditions, helping maintain vehicle stability and handling while delivering a safer, more comfortable ride.

Developing Electronically Controlled Shock Absorber Products Achieving Full-Stack In-House R&D and Manufacturing
Lindun's team comprises engineers with extensive experience at leading international automotive suppliers. Cofounder and CEO Dr. Guohong Ye is a pioneer in introducing modern shock absorber technology to China and previously served as president of ZF's China operations, one of the world's leading suppliers of driveline and chassis technology. The team possesses deep expertise and experience across the full shock absorber lifecycle, from R&D and production to calibration.
Lindun is currently fast-tracking development of its first-generation product — an electronically controlled shock absorber with an external solenoid valve — whose performance and stability rival international competitors while offering significant price and cost advantages.
Alongside product development, Lindun independently designs and manufactures its production lines and all critical testing equipment, enabling seamless integration of product processes into manufacturing to ensure stable quality and highly consistent performance. The equipment is highly modular, allowing rapid iteration to adapt to market changes. The first-phase fully automated production line is expected to achieve annual capacity of 1 million electronically controlled shock absorbers and solenoid valves.

Rapid Completion of First-Generation Product Sample Validation
Dr. Guohong Ye stated: "As a critical element in enhancing the driving and riding experience of electric vehicles, intelligent chassis suspension systems are on the verge of large-scale deployment. Our team has spent 30 years in the global shock absorber industry, and we firmly believe that action leads to achievement. In less than half a year since founding, we have rapidly completed validation of our first independently developed product samples, with test results exceeding expectations. Going forward, Lindun will continue to accelerate R&D, continuously optimize our design, and look forward to delivering high-performance, cost-competitive electronically controlled shock absorber products to OEMs as soon as possible."
Xin Wang, Managing Director at Gaorong Ventures, commented: "Following intelligent driving and intelligent cockpit, intelligent chassis represents a crucial direction for future NEV upgrades, with XYZ three-axis integrated chassis control gradually becoming industry consensus. Electronically controlled shock absorbers are the core actuation component of Z-axis suspension systems, significantly improving vehicle comfort, safety, and handling. Installation volumes will grow rapidly going forward, and the high barriers to entry mean domestic substitution rates remain very low. The team led by Dr. Guohong Ye represents true veterans of China's automotive industry, with over 30 years of accumulated expertise in shock absorbers and other components, bringing proven success across technology, processes, manufacturing, and operations — the right people for the job. We expect and believe Lindun will become a world-class automotive intelligent chassis components company."
