Opening up scaled application scenarios across multiple industries including automotive, home appliances, and consumer electronics.

On June 23, Flexiv announced the completion of its Series C fundraising round worth hundreds of millions of US dollars. The round was co-led by Yonggui Fund and GF Xinde Investment Management, with participation from Hongtai APlus, Huakong Fund, and others. Existing shareholders Gaorong Ventures, eGarden Ventures, and Mfund continued to invest. The proceeds will be used primarily for capacity expansion, R&D, and ecosystem development.

Gaorong Ventures led Flexiv's Series A round in 2017 and has continued to invest in subsequent rounds.

Shiquan Wang, co-founder and CEO of Flexiv, said: "We are grateful for the recognition and continued support from our new and existing shareholders. This funding round marks Flexiv's entry into a phase of comprehensive commercial acceleration, providing a solid foundation for product scaling, business expansion, ecosystem cultivation, and continued exploration of forward-looking technologies."

Pioneering a New Category: "Adaptive Robots"

Dramatically Enhancing Robot Generality

Founded in 2016, Flexiv is a world-leading general-purpose intelligent robotics company established by core members of Stanford University's Robotics and AI Lab. Flexiv pioneered the new category of "adaptive robots," with human-like behavior as its core philosophy. The company abstracts human "touch" into extreme force control capabilities and translates the "hand-eye coordination" behavioral pattern into a hierarchical intelligent system that gives robots generalized manipulation abilities — dramatically improving their versatility and adaptability in complex industrial conditions and processes.

While focusing on core technology R&D, Flexiv has actively participated in industry standard-setting. It led the development of the national standard Technical Requirements for Robot Adaptive Capability, which has been officially released. This further advances the systematization of technical standards and capability evaluation for adaptive robots as an entirely new category, filling a gap both domestically and internationally.

Opening Up Scalable Applications Across Multiple Industries

Commercial Deployment Accelerating

Flexiv adheres to a long-term approach, steadily advancing both foundational technology innovation and commercial deployment. The company has achieved a leap from single-point validation to multi-industry replication, entering a stage of scalable, accelerated growth.

On the business side, Flexiv has served dozens of global top-tier customers, enabling intelligent manufacturing upgrades across hundreds of core process steps in industries including 3C electronics, automotive and home appliances, food and agriculture, biotech and medical, aerospace, and new energy. It has accumulated highly valuable deployment cases, achieving scalable applications in complex tasks such as grinding and polishing, insertion and assembly, and food processing. On the ecosystem side, Flexiv has established close partnerships with system integrators and university research institutions, building a solid and scalable commercial foundation.

As AI accelerates its penetration into production environments, Flexiv is leveraging its "general force control capabilities + AI-native architecture + data loop potential" to help build cross-industry, cross-form-factor robotic infrastructure, continuously providing innovative solutions and industrial value to global partners.

Shiquan Wang said: "Flexiv has spent nearly a decade deepening its expertise in general-purpose intelligent robotics, continuously developing a full-stack technical system covering adaptive robot hardware, hierarchical intelligence, and operating system ecosystems. We focus on building a general-purpose robotics platform that can support diverse application forms. Thanks to our long-term commitment to a differentiated approach and relentless product optimization, Flexiv keeps pushing the boundaries of robotic capabilities. We can address automation pain points across industries for complex tasks and diverse processes with an extremely streamlined product lineup. We have already opened up large-scale application scenarios in automotive and home appliances, consumer electronics, food and medical industries, and continue to work with ecosystem partners to develop incremental business and empower end customers to enhance their intelligent manufacturing productivity."
