Geekplus Completes C1 Round Lead Financing, Using AI to Power Intelligent Supply Chain Services
Smart Logistics, Empowering the World.
On July 10, Geekplus founder and CEO Yong Zheng announced at the RISE 2019 Tech Summit that Geekplus had completed a new round of C1 financing — a landmark deal that puts it ahead of the industry. The round was led by GGV Capital and D1, with existing shareholders including Warburg Pincus participating. Gaorong Ventures had co-led Geekplus's Series A and also followed on in its Series A+.

Founded in early 2015, Geekplus is a globally recognized intelligent logistics robotics company dedicated to building the infrastructure and service networks for smart logistics, driving AI-powered digital supply chain transformation. The company has seen rapid growth in its international footprint, number of successful deployments, and diversity of industry applications.
Geekplus was named to CB Insights' list of unicorns valued at $1 billion and was selected for Robotic Business Review's 2019 RBR50 list.
To date, the company has shipped more than 7,000 units, successfully completed over 200 projects, and achieved global coverage — holding the top market share in Japan. In product development and production capacity, Geekplus continues to lead the industry. It pioneered the entirely new RoboShuttle robotic picking solution and established its Nanjing factory, which is now in full production, providing stronger momentum for future growth.
In an interview, Yong Zheng stated that Geekplus will continue to actively drive industry development, expanding from logistics robotics into AI-powered intelligent supply chain services. The company remains committed to its philosophy of "customer first, extreme innovation," continuously empowering smart, agile, and flexible supply chain systems and advancing the global movement toward "robots assisting humans."

Geekplus Development Milestones
2015
Geekplus launched its robotic picking system in a Tmall Supermarket warehouse during Singles' Day, becoming the first Chinese logistics robotics company to enter commercial operation.
2016
Geekplus became the first to achieve smooth operation of robot warehouses at scale — with hundreds of units — at two major domestic e-commerce companies, Vipshop and Suning, improving picking efficiency to more than three times that of manual operations. This fully validated the value of intelligent robotic logistics solutions for China's e-commerce and retail sectors.
2017
Geekplus made its first sale to Japan, becoming the first Chinese logistics robotics company to expand overseas. It subsequently became the first to obtain CE certification for its robots and quickly entered European, American, and Southeast Asian markets, launching its path of global development.
2018
Geekplus was the first in the industry to propose the RaaS (Robotics as a Service) business model, while vigorously developing intelligent warehousing and fulfillment services based on robotics technology. The total area of robot warehouses managed and empowered by Geekplus exceeded 200,000 square meters.
