At the event, government leaders extended their congratulations to the team led by Biren Technology's founder, Chairman, and CEO Wen Zhang for overcoming challenges during the pandemic, sustaining innovation, independently developing an original architecture, and successfully achieving a zero-to-one breakthrough with a world-leading ultra-high-computing-power chip. They expressed hope that Biren Technology would continue strengthening its independent innovation capabilities, intensify efforts to tackle core technologies, and drive innovation in the integrated circuit industry.

Wen Zhang officially launched the BR100, Biren Technology's first general-purpose GPU chip product. This chip set a world computing power record, with peak performance more than three times that of flagship products currently on sale from international vendors. It also set a domestic record for interconnect bandwidth, and was the first domestic general-purpose GPU chip to adopt Chiplet technology, the new-generation PCIe 5.0 host interface, and the CXL interconnect protocol.

Wen Zhang noted that the BR100's official launch marks the first time a Chinese company has set the global general-purpose GPU computing power record, formally ushering China's general-purpose GPU chips into the new era of "quadrillions of calculations per second."

The underlying foundation enabling the BR100's internationally leading computing power lies in its self-developed original chip architecture. Wen Zhang shared that three years ago, beneath the "Bili Wanren" — "sheer cliffs ten thousand ren high" — boulder in Wuyi Mountain, he resolutely founded Biren Technology. Three years later, he formally named the company's original chip architecture with those same three characters: Biliren.

At the event, Hong Zhou, Co-founder and CTO of Biren Technology, provided a detailed introduction to the original Biliren architecture. Hong explained that the architecture is dataflow-centric, with deep optimization of data movement. Through six key technical characteristics, it comprehensively addresses bottlenecks in data movement and insufficient parallelism, enabling the BR100 chip to achieve leapfrog improvements in performance and energy efficiency within its given process node.
Hong introduced that the BR100 employs a Chiplet design philosophy, allowing total chip area to break through the reticle size limitations on single-die area and integrate more computing power and general-purpose logic. Additionally, by reducing the area of individual compute chiplets, both yield and production capacity can be improved, significantly reducing silicon costs and enabling more flexible product strategies.
Hong also unveiled the BR104, another product in Biren Technology's BR100 series. Based on the same Biliren architecture, it features a single compute chiplet with approximately half the performance of the BR100 — still surpassing the flagship products currently on sale from international vendors. "The Chiplet design allows us to obtain two chips from a single tape-out, greatly accelerating iteration speed while covering different market tiers," Hong said.

At the event, Xu Lingjie, Co-founder and President of Biren Technology, and Liu Jun, Vice President of Inspur Information and General Manager of AI & HPC Product Line, jointly unveiled the HAI XUAN OAM server. Xu Lingjie explained that the server can deliver up to 8 PFLOPS (8,000 trillion operations per second) of peak floating-point computing power, exceeding the capabilities of any previous 8-card accelerated computing device.

Meanwhile, Biren Technology also launched the Bili 104, a mainstream product based on the BR104. In standard PCIe form factor with power consumption controlled within 300W, it features a compact design with broad deployment flexibility and strong adaptability, compatible with various 2U to 4U servers and highly compatible with customers' existing infrastructure.
Xu Lingjie explained that from chip to board module to server, with the Bili 100 and Bili 104 as foundations, Biren Technology has established a complete data center accelerated computing product line. The Bili 104 has already opened invitation-based testing to select users and is approaching mass production and shipment. The HAI XUAN OAM server is currently undergoing intensive internal testing, with invitation-based testing expected to open in the fourth quarter of this year.

Beyond developing high-computing-power chips, Biren Technology is focused on customer needs, providing integrated hardware-software solutions to help customers maximize value.
At the event, Li Xinrong, Co-CEO of Biren Technology, provided a detailed introduction to the self-developed BIRENSUPA software platform. Built atop the BR100 series hardware, the platform comprises driver layer, programming platform, framework layer, and application solutions, supporting various application scenarios. The BIRENSUPA programming platform sits at the center of the software stack, including the BIRENSUPA programming model, acceleration libraries, toolchain, compiler, and other components. Through these components, developers can unleash the powerful computing capabilities of BR100 series hardware and develop diverse applications.
The BIRENSUPA platform supports mainstream deep learning frameworks. At the event, Li Xinrong and Li Qi, Head of Baidu Training Chip Adaptation Technology, jointly announced that Biren Technology has joined the hardware ecosystem co-creation program initiated by Baidu.

While celebrating the world computing power record set by its first general-purpose GPU chip, Biren Technology is already actively laying the groundwork for commercial deployment to drive digital economic and social development.
At the event, Huang Yuxiang, Chairman and CEO of Ping An Technology, stated that Ping An Technology will leverage Ping An Cloud as a foundation, combining with Biren Technology products to jointly build a high-end general-purpose intelligent computing platform. For different user scenarios, they will introduce competitive products and solutions.
