Guoxin Technology Secures New Round of Strategic Investment to Lead Innovation in IoT AI Chips

Recently, Hangzhou NationalChip Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NationalChip") announced that it has received a strategic investment from Skyworth Group. Gaorong Ventures previously invested in NationalChip's Series C round in October 2020.
Founded in 2001, NationalChip specializes in chip design, system solution development, and chip sales for digital television, home media centers, and artificial intelligence. To date, it has become one of the world's leading set-top box chip suppliers, with its digital TV chip products deployed globally. At the same time, NationalChip has made deep inroads into AI, becoming an early mover in launching multiple IoT-focused AI chips for home, automotive, and wearable scenarios. It owns core technologies including a self-developed neural network processor, instruction set, and compiler.
In 2017, NationalChip launched the industry's first IoT AI chip, the GX8010, which integrates its self-developed neural network processor, the gxNPU, to accelerate neural network computing. Released alongside the GX8010, the voice chip GX8008 was one of the earliest AIoT chips to feature a "domestic CPU + domestic NPU" dual domestic processor architecture, applicable to smart home and smart automotive domains. It provides intelligent voice front-end processing for devices, supporting local wake-up and offline voice command recognition.
In 2020, NationalChip introduced the ultra-low-power AI chip GX8002, with power consumption as low as 70 microwatts — currently the lowest-power AI chip in the industry. It integrates the second-generation self-developed neural network processor, gxNPU V200, and a self-developed hardware VAD module. Thanks to its ultra-low power consumption, the GX8002 can be widely used in TWS earbuds, watches, glasses, and other smart wearable applications.
At present, NationalChip's AI business spans multiple application areas including smart speakers, smart automotive, smart home appliances, and smart wearables, covering the full "human-vehicle-home" scenario. With its low power consumption, high performance, and high integration, NationalChip's AI chips have won strong recognition from numerous top-tier algorithm and internet companies. To date, it has established deep partnerships with Alibaba, JD.com, Baidu, 360, Rokid, Mobvoi, iFlytek, SoundAI, AISpeech, Skyworth, TCL, Haier, and others.
