Kaar AI Raises Over $100 Million in Series B Funding, Targets 1,000 Autonomous Trucks on Roads This Year
Leading the large-scale commercial deployment of autonomous trucking on trunk routes.
KargoBot recently announced the completion of its Series B funding round, raising over $100 million. The round was co-led by Horizon Robotics and Gaorong Ventures, with participation from Hongqi Investment, fengshion Capital, and Orient Jiafu, among others. Several existing shareholders also contributed with additional investment.

As the first company in the industry to achieve a commercial closed loop for unmanned trunk-line freight, KargoBot has pioneered end-to-end validation from technology to business operations. Its unmanned commercialization progress ranks among the industry's top tier, with cumulative freight volume reaching 1.2 billion ton-kilometers. The company has already achieved commercial operation of unmanned bulk trunk-line freight and successfully established its first profitable model for unmanned trunk-line transportation.
The proceeds from this round will primarily accelerate the large-scale expansion of unmanned trunk-line freight. By building an intelligent transportation system of "transportation robots + logistics operating system," KargoBot aims to construct a comprehensive intelligent freight network. The company expects to deploy and enable 1,000 autonomous trucks within this year, with plans to reach tens of thousands of Robotrucks in the coming years.

Fleet of Over 400 Autonomous Trucks in Operation
Entering the Stage of Large-Scale Commercial Deployment
As a leader in unmanned freight on public trunk roads, KargoBot remains committed to transforming the logistics industry through technological innovation and deep scenario engagement. Leveraging its globally pioneering intelligent mixed platooning model, the company became the first in China in 2024 to receive approval for autonomous driving road tests across multiple locations in North and Northwest China. It also pioneered L4-level "1+3" platooning road tests and commercial applications on public roads. In 2025, KargoBot was among the first nationwide to receive licenses for fully unmanned platooning commercial pilots, securing over 50 unmanned commercial operation permits and licenses.

Currently, KargoBot operates a fleet of over 400 autonomous trucks, with cumulative driving distance exceeding 35 million kilometers. The company conducts autonomous freight testing and operations in more than 10 provinces and municipalities, steadily advancing into a new phase of "large-scale commercial deployment." Through deepened partnerships with multiple leading automakers, KargoBot has launched and put into operation seven mass-produced models, enabling over 20 customers to carry out intelligent logistics operations. Simultaneously, it has established an innovation alliance with more than 30 industry partners to jointly advance scenario expansion and model evolution for unmanned freight technology, continuously building a comprehensive intelligent logistics network.

Deep Engagement in L4 Autonomous Freight Scenarios
Driving Systemic Transformation Across the Industry
Drawing on its deep technological and operational expertise, KargoBot has built an autonomous driving technology platform powered by "end-to-end + reinforcement learning." Its KargoOmni™ solution integrates intelligent mixed platooning and single-truck intelligent modes in parallel, covering short, medium, and long-haul scenarios for unmanned trunk-line freight. This solution significantly enhances operational efficiency: labor efficiency improves by 83% to 300%, comprehensive operational efficiency increases by over 50%, and energy utilization efficiency rises by over 30% — driving systemic transformation across the industry.
In terms of transportation innovation, KargoBot has forward-designed and independently developed transportation robots. Through a driverless cabin design and modular structure, these robots further elevate automation and efficiency across the entire logistics chain.

The Trillion-Dollar Robotruck Track
Approaching a Commercial Inflection Point
Dr. Junqing Wei, CEO of KargoBot, stated: "This funding round marks a critical milestone for KargoBot's transition from business model validation to large-scale deployment, signaling our entry into a new phase of accelerated unmanned freight scaling. We will seize this opportunity to continuously expand our industrial ecosystem, deepen our commitment to 'safe, efficient, and economical' unmanned freight services, and work with partners to build the next-generation comprehensive intelligent freight network. We will continue to consolidate our leading position in unmanned freight and drive fundamental transformation across the logistics industry."
Xin Wang, Partner at Gaorong Ventures, commented: "Robotruck represents a trillion-dollar opportunity on par with Robotaxi. While most past players operated in closed, low-speed scenarios, KargoBot was dedicated to solving open-road truck autonomy from day one. Leveraging its strategic shareholders' and R&D team's deep accumulation in algorithms and data, the company validated its innovative platooning model in Inner Mongolia and has now entered a new phase of scaled development. The KargoBot team is professional, pragmatic, and collaborative, bringing together technology, scenario, and industry chain partners to advance together. We firmly believe that Robotruck commercialization has entered a rapid development phase. We highly recognize KargoBot's technical capabilities and strategic vision, and look forward to the company continuing to lead industry transformation."

Industry analysis indicates that trunk-line autonomous driving is approaching a commercial inflection point, with large-scale explosive growth expected within the next one to two years. As the main artery of large-channel intelligent trucking, trunk-line freight handles over 70% of national cross-regional goods circulation, making it the largest trillion-dollar track in autonomous driving. With its validated technical approach, clear business model, and leading operational scale, KargoBot has established significant first-mover advantages covering the full spectrum of trunk-line scenarios.
Following this funding round, KargoBot will continue to increase investment in L4 autonomous trunk-line freight, accelerating large-scale commercial application of "AI + logistics scenarios." The company is committed to building a safer, more efficient, and more economical next-generation logistics capacity system, and to continuing to lead transformation across the industry.
