Nothing, the global emerging tech consumer brand, has raised $70 million in Series B funding to create a seamless digital future

On March 9 local time in London, Nothing — a rising global tech consumer brand — announced it had raised $70 million in its Series B round. The round was co-led by EQT Ventures and C Ventures, with follow-on investments from Gaorong Ventures, Google's venture arm GV, Future Shape (the investment firm founded by iPod inventor Tony Fadell), and Animoca Brands, the metaverse gaming platform company.

The proceeds will go toward expanding Nothing's product ecosystem and building a London design hub. Previously, Nothing also received investments from individual backers including Casey Neistat (YouTube personality and Beme co-founder), Kevin Lin (co-founder of Twitch), and Steve Huffman (co-founder and CEO of Reddit). To date, Nothing has raised a total of $144 million. Nothing is a London-based consumer tech company dedicated to removing barriers between people and technology, creating a seamless digital future through products that are simple to use and distinctively designed.

Nothing will hold a launch event at 22:00 Beijing time on March 23, 2022, to announce its 2022 strategic plan and the new funding round. "This financing gives us the ability to realize the next phase of our vision — building a seamless and fluid digital future," said Carl Pei, CEO and co-founder of Nothing. Nothing will use the funds raised in this round to collaborate with Qualcomm Technologies and its Snapdragon platform, with new product development led by former Dyson design chief Adam Bates at the new London design center.

In August 2021, Nothing launched its first product, ear (1), a carbon-neutral true wireless earphone that has shipped over 400,000 units. ear (1) combines precision engineering with advanced noise cancellation for a pure audio experience. Its transparent face reveals the internal craftsmanship, showcasing the raw beauty of technology. It was Nothing's first step in delivering on its promise to create iconic, effortlessly simple, seamlessly connected products that help people improve their lives with ease.
