Building more competitive solutions for consumer-grade AR glasses.

Raysolve recently announced the completion of its Pre-A3 strategic funding round, led by Meridian Capital, with 37 Interactive Entertainment and miHoYo as co-investors. Gaorong Ventures had previously led Raysolve's Pre-A round in 2021 and doubled down in the two subsequent rounds.

The proceeds will accelerate R&D iteration, team expansion, and small-scale mass production, further strengthening Raysolve's leading position in monolithic full-color Micro-LED microdisplay technology. Going forward, Raysolve plans to deepen industry partnerships and accelerate commercialization, building more competitive full-color Micro-LED microdisplay solutions for consumer-grade AR glasses.

Developing High-Performance, High-Volume Full-Color Micro-LED Microdisplays

Raysolve is dedicated to developing high-performance, mass-production-ready full-color Micro-LED microdisplays, creating an ideal full-color microdisplay solution for AR glasses. The company's core team hails from the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, with years of experience in cutting-edge optoelectronic chip design and manufacturing. As an industry pioneer in achieving AR-grade monolithic full-color Micro-LED microdisplay chips, Raysolve actively drives frontier technological advances while continuously breaking records in size and pixel density, bringing revolutionary innovation to the microdisplay field.

In recent years, the consumer AR market has gradually opened up. With improving maturity across hardware, software, and content ecosystems, new AR glasses products keep emerging, and the sector is poised to become a market worth hundreds of billions. Overall, AR optical solutions center on waveguide technology, with optical upgrades exploring lighter, thinner designs, wider field of view, and full-color display. On the display side, full-color Micro-LED microdisplay solutions are where terminal manufacturers can build core competitive advantages.

With deep insight into market demand and 18 years of technical accumulation, Raysolve has continuously achieved breakthroughs in full-color Micro-LED technology. Since unveiling its first monolithic full-color Micro-LED microdisplay chip in Silicon Valley in 2019, Raysolve has developed multiple full-color Micro-LED microdisplay products based on 8-inch semiconductor processes, including 0.11-inch and 0.22-inch full-color microdisplays launched at SID Display Week in the US in 2023. Beyond their ultra-compact size, this series achieves brightness exceeding 100,000 nits and 98% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, with Micro-LED pixel density reaching 7,200 PPI — earning high recognition from industry professionals.

Building Core Technology Moats to Advance AR Optical Display Solutions

For full-color implementation, monolithic full-color represents the ultimate solution that Micro-LED manufacturers and research institutions worldwide are racing to develop. Raysolve has taken the lead in achieving breakthroughs in this domain, building core technology barriers through hard technical strength.

Raysolve's self-developed quantum dot photoresist solution integrates standard quantum dot materials with photoresist materials through innovative technical integration. This solution maintains high luminous efficacy and resolution while controlling quantum dot photoresist thickness below 2 micrometers — meeting Micro-LED's requirements for ultra-small pixel sizes while ensuring high absorption and conversion efficiency, fully converting blue light into green and red light to achieve monolithic full-color display.

Dr. Yongzhang Zhuang, Raysolve's founder and CEO, stated: "The essence of monolithic full-color technology is to enable ultra-lightweight, ultra-thin AR glasses designs for better wearing comfort and visual experience. The XR industry chain is long and novel, making coordinated collaboration across the chain especially important right now. Every player must not only innovate within their own domain but also work closely with others to jointly drive the XR industry forward." Going forward, Raysolve will keep pace with market demands, continuously improve product performance, and work hand-in-hand with industry partners to jointly advance the leap forward in AR optical display solutions.
