ShiningSoul, a next-generation cultural and creative brand founded just over a year ago, has officially announced the completion of its Series A funding round worth hundreds of millions of RMB. The round was led by Hillhouse, with Gaorong Ventures and Cathay Capital participating.

The company — formally known as Shanghai Zhenyouqu Cultural Technology Co., Ltd. — was co-founded by Shuobin Yao, chairman of Yaoji Technology, and Chuan Sheng, a veteran of the trading card industry, with Sheng serving as CEO.

At a time when "emotional consumption" and the "self-pleasure economy" have become the new consensus, the trading card segment within the cultural and creative industry is entering a golden period of explosive growth. Among this space, trading card games (TCGs) — which combine collectibility, social interaction, and competitive play — are emerging as the focal point of value due to their higher design barriers and user stickiness. The successful completion of this funding round reflects the capital market's strong recognition of the rapidly growing cultural and creative industry and IP economy track, particularly ShiningSoul's end-to-end capabilities across the trading card value chain and its long-term strategy to develop TCGs as a Chinese brand with global ambitions.
