Simo Microelectronics Completes Series A Funding, Focuses on High-Performance Analog Signal Chain Chip Design
A bridge between the analog and digital worlds.
Recently, Semo Microelectronics announced the completion of its Series A funding round exceeding RMB 100 million, led by Eight Roads, with participation from Northern Light Venture Capital, Feitu Ventures, Jovi Capital, and AccoTEST. Existing investors Gaorong Ventures, Jucheng Investment, Walden International, Yuanhe Puhua, and Zhongguancun Science City made additional investments. Gaorong Ventures had previously invested in Semo Microelectronics in 2021.
The proceeds will be used for talent acquisition, mass production of chip products, and new product R&D.
Founded in early 2021, Semo Microelectronics focuses on high-performance analog signal chain chip design, dedicated to providing high-performance amplifier, data converter, and high-precision reference source solutions for industrial control, IoT, and automotive electronics — building a bridge between the analog and digital worlds. Its ADC/DAC chips (analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog converters) are regarded as the crown jewels of analog chips.
Dr. Nan Sun, founder of Semo Microelectronics, is a tenured professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University, with long-standing research dedication to high-performance signal chain chip design. The company's core members bring over a decade of industry experience, with extensive technical expertise and product experience spanning analog design, digital design, digital verification, back-end, application testing, mass production, and market operations. Leveraging its technological edge, the company aims to become a pioneer in domestic high-performance signal chain chips through reliable products and quality service.
