Inno Pharmaceuticals Completes Nearly RMB 800 Million Series D Funding to Accelerate Global Multicenter Clinical Development of Precision Targeted Drugs

On September 9, Yinnuo Medicine announced that it has closed a Series D financing round of nearly 800 million RMB. The round was led by YuanSheng Ventures, with participation from the Beijing Medical and Health Industry Investment Fund (coordinated and managed by Beijing State-owned Capital Operation and Management), the Beijing Advanced Manufacturing and Intelligent Equipment Industry Investment Fund and their shared fund manager Cornerstone Capital, Chengtong Science and Technology Innovation Fund, Junhe Investment, Gaorong Ventures, Northern Light Venture Capital, and Zhongqi Capital, among others. Existing shareholders Renhe Capital and Chunjia Capital also increased their investment. The proceeds will be used primarily for international multi-center clinical trials of the company's core pipeline products, further accelerating their global clinical development and commercialization.

Yinnuo Medicine's core products have now entered pivotal clinical stages. Leveraging its proprietary "Active Targeting Liposome (ATL) delivery technology platform," the company has achieved breakthroughs on multiple fronts in cardiovascular/cerebrovascular disease and central nervous system oncology:

Its core pipeline is the world's first active-targeting drug capable of reversing atherosclerotic plaques. By precisely accumulating at the site of atherosclerotic plaques, it exerts a dual mechanism — anti-inflammatory action and promoting the efflux of cholesterol from plaques into the bloodstream (reverse cholesterol transport) — acting directly on the plaque itself to reduce plaque volume and improve stability, bringing a new breakthrough to the treatment of cardiovascular disease worldwide. The drug's Phase 2b international multi-center pivotal registration trial (PURIFY-TIMI 81) has entered the patient enrollment stage, with study sites in China, Australia, and the United States already launched, and Canadian sites set to begin shortly.

Another innovative glioma-targeting drug incubated from the delivery platform can efficiently cross the blood-brain barrier and precisely accumulate in glioma tissue, achieving highly efficient targeted delivery while significantly reducing systemic toxicity. In addition to directly killing tumor cells, it can induce immunogenic cell death (ICD), activating the immune system to produce a durable synergistic anti-tumor effect. The drug recently received Fast Track Designation and IND clearance from the FDA, intended for the treatment of adult glioma (including glioblastoma). Previously, in November 2023, the drug was granted Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) by the FDA.
