Last April, Linear Capital's investment team visited top labs at ETH Zurich and EPFL in Switzerland, and hosted exchange events with local Chinese professional networks. The research environment there and the universities' support for early-stage technology commercialization left a deep impression on us. During these events, we also shared our perspective with attending technical founders on the enormous opportunity of combining European frontier technology innovation with the domestic Chinese market. These experiences greatly informed our subsequent investment decisions.

This April, Linear Capital's investment team will once again visit universities across select European countries and regions. We will return to ETH Zurich, partnering with the ETH Chinese Students and Scholars Association to host an offline exchange event, sharing the latest insights and developments in China's hard tech investment landscape. Harry Wang, Founder and CEO of Linear Capital, Partner Songyan Huang, and Senior Principal Wei Xin will attend the event. The founding team of Swiss-Mile, a Linear portfolio company and ETH alumni, will also share their entrepreneurial journey with fellow students. We welcome PhDs, postdocs, and technical founders to register — whether you're looking to commercialize a research project or exploring startup ideas, we encourage you to sign up and join the conversation!

Founded in 2014, Linear Capital focuses on "frontier technology + industry" investments — frontier technologies spanning data intelligence, digital infrastructure, next-generation robotics, and technological transformation in traditional sectors (such as biotech, materials, and energy), applied across vertical industries to dramatically improve efficiency, solve critical pain points, and enable industrial upgrading. We capture outsized returns through substantial value creation in these industries.

Over the past few years, several technical founders from renowned European universities and research institutes whom we backed at the early stage have grown into standout companies, including Agile Robots, Realview, Aosagn, Diis Medical, Luerr New Materials, Acell Biotech, Ruixin Manufacturing, and SwissMile, with founding teams hailing from the German Aerospace Center, University of Cambridge, Max Planck Institute, and others. These experiences have strengthened our conviction that Europe's frontier technology research and applications deserve deep capital attention and exploration. We look forward to connecting with many of you!

About Linear Capital

Linear Capital is an early-stage investment firm focused on "frontier technology + industry" — frontier technologies spanning data intelligence, digital infrastructure, next-generation robotics, and technological transformation in traditional sectors (such as biotech, materials, and energy), applied across vertical industries to dramatically improve efficiency, solve critical pain points, and enable industrial upgrading. We capture outsized returns through substantial value creation in these industries. The firm currently manages ten funds with total AUM of approximately $2 billion.

We invest primarily from angel through Series A, typically leading rounds of $3–8 million or RMB equivalent.

Our early-stage investments include Horizon Robotics, Kujiale, Sensors Data, Tezign, Rokid, Guandata, Agile Robots, and over 120 other founding teams. The combined valuation of Linear's portfolio companies is approximately $20 billion.

In the near term, Linear Capital is working to become the premier "Data Intelligence Technology Fund," with a long-term vision of building the most influential "Frontier Technology Application Fund."
