On July 15, Whale, a global enterprise AI company, officially announced the completion of a $40 million Series C3 funding round. Whale's total Series C funding has now surpassed $100 million, continuing to attract long-term commitments from global, diversified industrial capital.
Whale is a global enterprise-native AI technology company that relies on its self-developed Business World Model (BWM) to provide full-chain platform-level AI capabilities covering perception, cognition, and execution for omnichannel online and offline operators.
This Series C3 round was jointly funded by CMB International's fund focused on AI and frontier technology, SARF (SMBC Asia Rising Fund), the corporate venture capital arm of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), Krungsri Finnovate, the CVC platform of Bank of Ayudhya under Mitsubishi UFJ (MUFG), Charisma Partners, and Hyundai Motor Group, with additional investment from Singtel Innov8.
Other strategic investors in the Series C include Bosch Ventures, MTR Lab, MDI Ventures (Telkom Indonesia), Gentree Fund, and Linear Capital.
Whale is a global leader in enterprise AI, managing over 600,000 edge AI nodes for more than 1,600 large enterprises worldwide, covering multi-scenario cloud-based AI applications across automotive, consumer, finance, mobility, advanced manufacturing, and supply chain sectors. The company has achieved AI-native capabilities in security and safety, spatial inspection, sales and service management, and enterprise workflow automation.

Whale possesses an independently developed, full-stack cloud and edge AI system, providing enterprises with secure, neutral, and high-performance AI capabilities. Through its "SpaceSight" visual perception platform, "Echo" intelligent voice platform, and "Lume" intelligent content distribution platform, Whale endows AI with the abilities to "see, hear, and speak."
Whale's cloud-edge AI foundation "Novus" and IoT foundation "Stardust," integrated with the knowledge base "Harbor" and the Agentic AI Harness platform "Alivia," provide enterprises with a robust AI "memory and reasoning" backbone.

By integrating visual, voice, and online sensing, and directly interfacing with enterprise operational execution, Whale's Business World Model (BWM) enables enterprise AI to learn and integrate industry and business operational logic, outputting actionable operational optimization that is simultaneously deployed across sales, production, and supply chain functions — creating a closed loop of multimodal operational perception, intelligent analysis, and automated business execution.

As a global leader in AI, Whale carefully screens strategic investors for each funding round based on two clear criteria: the investor must possess complete upstream and downstream industrial ecosystem resources to collaboratively build cross-industry standardized intelligent solutions; and must have mature operational channels in their region to support Whale's localized overseas service deployment.
This round's investors span core industrial sectors including cross-border finance, telecommunications, vehicle manufacturing, advanced industry, urban rail transit, and multinational commerce. Through deep collaboration with industrial institutions, Whale's platform capabilities can closely align with industry needs, developing specialized know-how for AI solution deployment through industry-specific engagement.
Leveraging the global industrial networks and regional resources of its investors, Whale has established a cross-border, cross-sector industrial collaboration architecture. Whale will deeply integrate with its capital ecosystem resources, continuously improve its global localized service footprint, and accelerate the full-domain deployment of its self-developed physical commerce AI technology. By partnering with local industrial players in Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia to establish regional operational hubs, Whale will help its global enterprise partners achieve commercial value growth.
Grounded in its China base, Whale's overseas business is demonstrating strong growth momentum, with annual revenue growth exceeding 200% and overseas revenue now accounting for over 50% of total revenue. Its globalization efforts continue to deepen, with business coverage extending to additional countries and regions.

Global industrial capital's continued commitment to Whale is anchored in the company's end-to-end enterprise AI technical moat and commercial know-how.
Whale will focus this round's funding on three priority areas: continuing to iterate on BWM's core underlying technology, strengthening full-chain capabilities across "perception — cognition — execution"; partnering with global industrial players to build cross-industry standardized intelligent solutions, driving platform capability replication at scale across diverse scenarios; and enhancing overseas regional headquarters and localized service systems to provide market-adapted deployment support for Chinese enterprises expanding globally.
Can Zhang, Managing Director at Linear Capital, said: "In this era where AI is transforming everything, we have seen founder Jerry and the Whale team continuously embed AI capabilities deep into enterprise-grade products, demonstrating an ability to co-evolve with AI, and witnessed the rapid growth driven by both product strength and globalization. As one of Whale's earliest investors, Linear Capital looks forward to Whale becoming a global leader in enterprise AI and continuing to bring new transformation to this space."
