On July 11, 2024, Linear Capital's Shanghai headquarters hosted over 30 visiting members from the Penn Quakers Venture Club. The study tour aimed to give participants deeper insight into China's venture capital landscape and industry trends through on-site visits and face-to-face exchanges with top-tier domestic investment firms.
Founded in 2014, Linear Capital is an early-stage investment firm focused on "frontier technology + industry." At this event, Linear Capital partner Neil Zeng delivered a keynote presentation, covering the firm's founding story, evolution, and investment thesis. During his talk, Zeng highlighted several of Linear Capital's representative portfolio companies — including Horizon Robotics, Kujiale, Sensors Data, Tezign, Rokid, Guandata, and Agile Robots — using these cases to illustrate the firm's investment logic and evaluation criteria in an accessible way.
In the interactive session that followed, many visiting members raised questions about deal selection standards, how to assess industry prospects, and the differences between Chinese and American VC markets. Neil Zeng patiently addressed each question, sharing firsthand experiences and perspectives from the investment front lines. The exchange not only deepened participants' understanding of venture capital markets but also gave them a more nuanced picture of Linear Capital itself.

The Penn Quakers Venture Club (PQVC), established in 2021, is an officially recognized student organization at the University of Pennsylvania and the university's first Chinese entrepreneurship and investment research group.
