Continued Leadership in Legal LLM Application and Deployment

Recently, PowerLaw announced the completion of a nearly 80 million yuan Pre-B funding round. This round was led by BlueRun Ventures, with follow-on investment from eSignGenie, a leading electronic signature provider, and continued participation from existing shareholders including HSG, Huayu, Source Code Capital, Linear Capital, and Zhipu AI. Yuanming Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor.

PowerLaw is dedicated to using technology to make legal services more accessible and effective, with deep expertise in contract intelligence. The company has successively launched MeCheck, an intelligent contract review product, and MeFlow, an intelligent contract management product, helping enterprises upgrade to an integrated business-finance contract management model and enhancing their cost reduction and efficiency gains, compliance and risk control, and precision decision-making capabilities in complex market environments. This year, the company also partnered with Zhipu AI, a leading general-purpose large model provider, to launch PowerLawGLM, a 100-billion-parameter legal vertical large model. It has deeply integrated legal large model capabilities into its intelligent contract business to strengthen product competitiveness centered on intelligence. Based on PowerLaw's differentiated competitive advantages in the intelligent contract track and its leading position in legal large models, the company's business has achieved growth of over 200% compared to last year.

Additionally, PowerLaw has introduced "Wuyou Wulü," an annual legal counsel service, providing timely and affordable high-quality legal services at several thousand yuan per year to tens of millions of SMEs that struggle to access legal services. Leveraging the PowerLawGLM large model capabilities, it addresses routine legal service needs including legal consultations and legal document drafting and review through an AI + human lawyer dual-guarantee model, solving the everyday legal service demands of SMEs during their production and operations.

The company's core team hails from the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University, with strong algorithm capabilities that apply cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) technology to the legal field. PowerLaw consistently adheres to a path of deep integration between technology and law, with over 30% of employees having legal backgrounds. Senior legal professionals participate in technology and product development, providing practical insights on knowledge and scenarios.

The pain points of enterprise contract management mainly concentrate on inefficient manual processing workflows, lack of risk management mechanisms, and insufficient performance monitoring and reminders. With the development of artificial intelligence and large model technologies, enterprise demand for intelligent contract management solutions has gradually strengthened — particularly in improving efficiency, tracking processes, enhancing compliance, and deepening digital transformation — providing rich scenarios for the application of AI and large model technologies.

PowerLaw's legal large model-enhanced intelligent contract management system has comprehensively improved intelligent capabilities in contract identification, contract extraction, contract review, and other scenarios. Through more precise analysis of key contract data performance via large models, it helps enterprises more intuitively understand their contract management status and supports improvements in contract management effectiveness.

PowerLaw's product innovation, solution maturity, and market foresight have gained recognition from nearly a hundred leading clients across industries including internet, manufacturing, chain retail, finance, and healthcare.

This funding round will be used to consolidate PowerLaw's leading position in legal large models and the intelligent contract track. Through continued training and practical application of legal large models, it will enhance the standardization and intelligence capabilities of intelligent contract products and establish a delivery center to prepare for sustained scalable business growth. Simultaneously, based on legal large model capabilities, it will explore new legal service businesses, promoting the application and scalable growth of large models in SME legal service scenarios.

PowerLaw founder Cunchao Tu stated: "Law, as a typical text-in, text-out scenario, is currently one of the most promising vertical scenarios for large model application. PowerLaw will leverage its long-term accumulation of knowledge and data in the legal field, combined with the technical advantages brought by a 100-billion-parameter legal large model, and through deep cooperation with strategic investors, promote the practical application of legal large models in intelligent contract scenarios and sustained rapid business growth. At the same time, PowerLaw will remain true to its original aspiration, continue to explore the boundaries of large model capabilities and new legal service models, and fulfill its mission of using technology to make legal services better and more accessible."
