Event Recap | AdventureX 2024 x Linear Capital: Imagining the Infinite Possibilities of AI-Powered Futures

The AdventureX 2024 hackathon took place from July 15 to 19, 2024, at the Hupan Innovation and Research Center in Hangzhou. This five-day event drew over 200 innovators and engineers under the age of 26. Participants formed teams on-site and spent 72 hours in intensive project development, moving from brainstorming and prototyping through coding to final demos.

Linear Capital served as a partner for the event, hosting a "Reimagining Daily Workflows" track and a workshop on "AI/Agent Investment Observations." We encouraged participants to unleash their creativity and design workflows that not only boost productivity but transform mundane tasks into efficient, elegant experiences.

We believe that tomorrow's transformative changes will come from the people using AI today and the products they build. We look forward to imagining the limitless possibilities of AI-enabled futures alongside more hackers.

Workshop

Workshops are "on-the-ground" sessions co-hosted by AdventureX and its partners. Through dozens of lectures and conversations spanning cutting-edge technology (Advance) and candid dialogue (Truth), we explore emerging trends together.

For this workshop, Linear Capital focused on "AI/Agent Investment Observations," sharing our thinking and observations from evaluating over a hundred AI application projects this year. We discussed how to build competitive moats in applications and explored the potential directions and scope for AI agents.

Project Expo

Linear Capital's "Reimagining Daily Workflows" track attracted 27 project submissions spanning AI hardware, AI assistants, code generation, and more. Below are selected projects from participants. (Listed in no particular order.)

01 Glucolnsight

Glucolnsight offers leading personalized blood glucose health assessments, helping users understand their glucose regulation capacity and quantify and optimize healthy lifestyles.

• GlucoMeal: An intelligent nutrition intake recognition system that automatically logs and analyzes dietary activity, providing detailed nutritional data reports.
• GlucoSport: Real-time monitoring of blood glucose changes during exercise, with hypoglycemia alerts to ensure workout safety.
• GlucoAgent: A personalized health assistant that provides customized health recommendations based on dynamic glucose data and answers health questions in real time.

02 Building Frontends with Guii AI

Guii Devtool is an AI pair-programming tool built with care, designed to integrate seamlessly into existing frontend projects. It lets you customize and optimize code through natural language commands. Guii isn't meant to replace creators or hackers — it's designed to be the trusted companion at their side, building great products together.

03 Brainy AI

Brainy AI is a fully automated knowledge management assistant that uses AI to solve the fragmentation and overload of information users face, bringing a ray of light to tedious, complex work. Through AI technology and agent architecture, it automates the entire knowledge management pipeline — from input and processing to storage and output — boosting personal information utilization efficiency with one click, making it easier to produce content and helping users become super-individuals in the new era.

04 Dali

Dali is a cross-device AI assistant for managing and responding to life's various information streams. Through shortcuts and frictionless interactions, users can easily record and query information on Mac and iPhone. Its core features are "Feed" (data input) and "Ask" (query), enabling seamless information management and instant response via screenshots and voice/text input. Users complete actions with a simple keyboard shortcut or accessibility feature, dramatically simplifying information processing.

05 TimeSwap

TVAX (also known as TimeSwap) is an innovative mobile app designed to help users understand and maximize the value of their time. Core features include:

• AI-driven time valuation: Estimates time value by analyzing parameters like profession, experience, and location.
• Time value insights: Helps users understand the specific monetary value of their time.
• Personalized input: Users enter personal information for customized time valuation.
• Time Price Prediction (TPP): Displays the current monetary value and rating of one's time.
• Activity timeline: Shows activities and their corresponding value.

Closing Thoughts

At this hackathon, we witnessed countless creative young minds go from initial ideas to collaborative teamwork to imaginative final presentations — all in less than a week. The process was exhilarating. Powered by AI, we saw fascinating concepts materialize from nothing into working products. This hackathon was more than a technical competition — it was a platform for nurturing innovation and collaboration. The passion and ingenuity of these young people ignited here, and many once-fanciful ideas became concrete realities.
