"Baoxiaohe" Launches "Packaging Design AI Plugin": Auto-Generates Die Lines, Real-Time 3D Rendering, Rapid High-Definition Render Production

Shortly after announcing the completion of its nearly $10 million Series A round in mid-August, online 3D packaging design and printing service platform Baoxiaohe held a product launch event at the end of August to unveil its "Packaging Design AI Plugin" — a tool designed to help designers more efficiently complete packaging design proposals, output packaging renderings, and create interactive 3D packaging scenes.

Under traditional packaging design workflows, if a designer wants to preview a three-dimensional packaging effect, they first need to search online for mockups with approximate dimensions, then use design tools like Photoshop or Illustrator to perform precise operations such as dragging and warping to transform a flat visual design into a 3D presentation. Sometimes, to produce a product packaging image that looks like an actual photograph, they also need to design additional marketing scenes. The entire process is time-consuming and labor-intensive.

Luo Fei, product lead for the Baoxiaohe AI Plugin, explained that the newly launched plugin improves packaging design efficiency through a massive die-cut template library, real-time 3D preview, and high-definition rendering scene solutions.

Through this plugin, designers can quickly access over 2,500 packaging die-cut templates from the Baoxiaohe platform, freely adjusting dimensions to generate the specific packaging style requested by clients. By placing flat design visual assets directly onto the corresponding positions in the die-cut template, the packaging design is essentially complete.

Once designers have finalized the packaging structure and die-cut template, they can simply drag their existing flat design visuals onto the template and use the plugin's built-in preview function to examine the finished product from any angle — a full 720-degree view. Anticipating the need for designers to communicate packaging proposals with stakeholders, Baoxiaohe has thoughtfully included a feature to generate interactive scene links. Users can share these preview scenes directly via link with collaborators or clients, reducing back-and-forth explanation and improving communication efficiency.

Recognizing that many designers need to present design proposals, Baoxiaohe has also prepared a one-click design upload feature. After completing a packaging design, users can click "Upload Design" and then select an appropriate rendering scene for their template on the Baoxiaohe website. Once the scene is adjusted to satisfaction, a simple click of the "Render" button — with a satisfying "click" sound — generates a 4K ultra-high-definition product rendering in under ten seconds, with visual effects comparable to an actual photographed scene.

At the conclusion of the launch event, CEO Wang Xianfeng announced that the newly released Baoxiaohe "Packaging Design AI Plugin" would be permanently free to download, with all basic features and services included at no cost. Users can head to the Baoxiaohe website to download and experience it immediately. He expressed hope that Baoxiaohe would continue to bring more "use and go" products to its users.
