The Only AI4S Company Invited Worldwide, "Deep Principle" Attends Davos Summer Forum Panel Discussion | Linear Portfolio
and was selected as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum at Davos in 2025.

The Summer Davos Forum recently opened at the Tianjin National Convention and Exhibition Center. "Deep Principle" was the only AI4S company globally invited to the business representatives' symposium attended by Premier Li Qiang at the 2025 Summer Davos Forum.
Deep Principle had also been selected for the 2025 Technology Pioneers list released by the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Linear Capital was the lead investor in Deep Principle's seed round. We are bullish on this internationally minded technology company led by a post-95 MIT PhD, and have continued to back it in subsequent rounds.
From June 24 to 26, the Summer Davos Forum was held at the Tianjin National Convention and Exhibition Center. Premier Li Qiang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a special address, emphasizing an unwavering commitment to inclusive and universally beneficial economic globalization.
This year's forum, themed "New Era Entrepreneurship," drew approximately 1,700 guests from over 90 countries and regions, focusing on frontier fields and emerging hot topics to explore new pathways for high-quality global development. Dr. Haojun Jia, founder and CEO of Deep Principle, and Dr. Chenru Duan, founder and CTO, were invited to attend.
At the same time, Deep Principle was the only AI4S company globally invited to the business representatives' symposium attended by Premier Li Qiang at the 2025 Summer Davos Forum.

Earlier, the World Economic Forum in Davos announced the 2025 Technology Pioneers list, which included 11 companies from China. Deep Principle was selected for this list based on its leading position and sustained innovation in AI for Chemistry/Materials.
According to the World Economic Forum, the 100 startups selected in 2025 come from 28 countries. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Technology Pioneers community, and this year's cohort is arguably the strongest in history. They cover a broader geographic range and reflect diversity beyond Silicon Valley, signaling the rise of more ambitious frontier technologies. Most have developed breakthrough technologies addressing urgent global challenges.

Dr. Haojun Jia of Deep Principle, as a representative of the 100 global Technology Pioneers, participated in the closing roundtable on the theme of "New Era Entrepreneurship," discussing how entrepreneurial spirit and breakthrough innovation can move beyond short-term thinking to provide long-term solutions for current challenges. Dr. Jia believes that China's AI industry, following the DeepSeek moment, will have even more room for growth, particularly in AI application deployment in China — for example, using generative AI models to directly generate chemical reactions and materials on demand, replacing traditional wet-lab trial-and-error processes.

Dr. Chenru Duan of Deep Principle was also invited to deliver a speech on the theme of "Next-Generation Materials Driving Technology Convergence," exploring with industry experts and academic representatives how next-generation materials will influence global markets and technology ecosystems. Dr. Duan noted that generative AI is becoming the "new paradigm" guiding chemistry and materials science, significantly boosting R&D efficiency and unlocking innovation spaces and incremental markets that traditional methods cannot reach.

▍ About Deep Principle:
Deep Principle is a global leader in AI for Chemistry/Materials technology innovation, dedicated to accelerating materials and chemistry innovation through artificial intelligence. The company's core mission is to integrate AI, quantum chemistry, and high-throughput experimentation (HTE) technologies, applying generative AI and first-principles calculations to chemical reactions to create multi-level, multi-precision workflows. This disrupts the traditional "top-down experimental trial-and-error" approach to chemical and materials discovery, completing the closed loop of materials discovery, property prediction, formulation optimization, and controllable experimentation in minimal time, significantly accelerating chemical and materials R&D innovation.
The team is led by founder and CEO Dr. Haojun Jia and founder and CTO Dr. Chenru Duan, comprising scholars from top institutions including MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Fudan University, as well as professionals from globally renowned companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Dow Chemical, BASF, Saint-Gobain, JD.com, and Tencent. The company has received investment from prominent institutions and strategic investors including Linear Capital, Hillhouse, Vertex Ventures China, Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group, Legend Star, Jinqiu Fund, Baidu Ventures, and XtalPi.
