"Great Intelligence Robotics" Closes Hundreds of Millions of RMB in Series D Funding, Doubling Down on Industrial Embodied AI | Linear Portfolio
Provides flexible manufacturing solutions to hundreds of leading global clients.

Today, "EdgeBot" (大界机器人) announced the completion of its Series D funding round, raising several hundred million RMB, co-led by Borchid Capital's managed fund and a fund under CICC Capital.
Serving mass-customization industries, EdgeBot provides trusted robotic flexible manufacturing solutions — integrating hand, eye, and brain coordination — to hundreds of global leading customers across shipbuilding, power, construction, and engineering machinery through its self-developed industrial software platform RoBIM, covering processes including cutting, welding, grinding, and assembly.
Linear Capital was an Series A investor in EdgeBot and has continued to increase its stake in subsequent rounds.
On March 3, EdgeBot announced the completion of its Series D funding round of several hundred million RMB. This round was co-led by the Liangxi Digital Industry Fund managed by Borchid Capital and a fund under CICC Capital, with follow-on investments from Beijing Shunyi Sci-Tech Innovation Group Fund and Houshayu "Zhonghe Runda" Industrial Investment Fund.

The proceeds will be primarily used for iterating industrial embodied intelligence technology to enhance the intelligence and flexibility across a broad range of robot configurations; accelerating market penetration in advantaged industries such as shipbuilding and offshore engineering, and energy and power; actively expanding into strategic emerging sectors including aerospace; and strengthening R&D investment in Physical AI and humanoid robotics.
After a decade of technical accumulation, EdgeBot's self-developed industrial software platform RoBIM CLOUD has evolved into an industrial intelligent digital infrastructure (Agent Infra) connecting data, algorithms, and physical execution.
RoBIM adopts a flexible modular design, deeply integrating core capabilities including robotic motion control, visual perception, and process decision-making. It not only efficiently completes various complex tasks in industrial scenarios, but also continuously optimizes process models through closed-loop accumulation of process data and algorithmic iteration, providing stable and reliable technical support for high-uncertainty scenarios in discrete manufacturing.

Leveraging RoBIM CLOUD as this powerful industrial digital infrastructure, EdgeBot has focused on core metalworking processes including cutting, welding, grinding, and assembly at the business deployment level, developing several industry-leading robotic flexible manufacturing high-end equipment.

Addressing on-site uncertainties such as assembly tolerances and workpiece deformation that traditional automation has struggled to overcome, EdgeBot has innovatively introduced an intelligent robotic system with "hand-eye-brain" coordination capabilities and generalizable manufacturing processes, enabling robots to "observe-judge-adjust" like skilled workers and achieve adaptive precision operation in dynamic environments.

Currently, EdgeBot's solutions have been validated on the demanding production lines of hundreds of industry-leading enterprises globally, serving customers including Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, Jiangnan Shipyard, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, ZPMC, Zheng Coal Machinery Group, China Coal Technology & Engineering Group, Zoomlion, Harbin Electric, China Construction Science and Industry Corporation, China Construction Haolong, and MCC Steel Structure, among other industrial leaders.
Looking toward the future factory ecosystem, EdgeBot has also made forward-looking investments in Physical AI and humanoid robotics.
Since 2025, the company has partnered with multiple humanoid robotics firms to explore application potential in highly customized, flexibility-demanding industrial scenarios such as metal welding and flexible object grinding.

As the underlying technical foundation, RoBIM CLOUD supports compatibility with diverse robot configurations including industrial robots, collaborative robots, and humanoid robots, and is evolving into an intelligent infrastructure with "swarm brain network" scheduling capabilities for robots. It can intelligently allocate tasks based on production needs, drive complementary strengths across different robot configurations, and ultimately achieve the leap from single-machine autonomy to swarm intelligent collaboration.
