Apply to Become Your "Coffee Curator" — Let's Share a Startup Special | Linear Event

Every idea deserves a serious cupping.

In an era of AI sprinting ahead, time may be the most expensive thing in the world. For most people, it seems like every minute is a calculation: whether to take this meeting, whether to meet that person, whether this expense is worth it.

But we deeply understand that entrepreneurship, more often than not, is suffused with a loneliness that cannot be precisely calculated. So we want to spend some time creating a season of "Coffee Curator" — a startup-themed series where we sit down and have a real conversation with you.

This will be a long-term, multi-city tour. Every week, we'll set aside one afternoon to invite young friends for one-on-one "startup special" coffees — just to make a genuine connection.

The entrepreneurial process, at times, resembles the birth of a cup of coffee.

Those rough ideas are like unremarkable green beans, undergoing selection, roasting, grinding, and extraction before finally becoming an addictive beverage. And the entire process is filled with uncertainty, pressure, and the sound of cracks.

Entrepreneurs are like baristas, standing watch day and night before their own "roasters": adjusting temperature and direction, controlling the pace of fundraising, enduring the various cracks of team磨合 and financial pressure throughout the process.

Yet the most lonely moments are often not failure, but when you're holding a perfectly roasted batch of beans and have no idea what water temperature, what kettle to use for extraction. It's like at the moment of inspiration's birth, you may not know how to begin attempting a startup project; at the stage of practical launch, you may not know how to balance the trade-offs between technology and commercialization; when the team's state feels off, you may be agonizing over how to adjust it...

So we want to spend some time launching a season of "Coffee Curator" — a startup-themed series, to have a real conversation with you. We believe that truly valuable connections aren't PPT pitches in conference rooms, but rather like coffee cuppings — sitting down, smelling the aroma, chatting about acidity and body, sharing the thrill of "first crack" moments and the sweetness after "second crack."

This is absolutely not a project pitch, nor a business course. It's more like a "coffee cupping" where we talk about whatever comes to mind:

  • Tasting your "beans": No matter what stage your project is at (green, roasted, or freshly ground), we're willing to understand its uniqueness with our senses.
  • Sharing "roast curves": We're willing to use our past investment and company-building experience to help you analyze whether your "temperature curve" is reasonable, whether the pressure is controllable.
  • No promise of "perfect extraction": We can't guarantee this cup of coffee will be a blockbuster, but we'll honestly tell you: whether the current acidity is too sharp on the palate, whether the finish is long enough.

In this season's "Coffee Curator" program, we'll organize city tours based on applications, setting aside one afternoon each week with several one-on-one slots to invite young friends for a "startup special" — just to make a genuine connection.

We believe every idea worth tasting deserves a serious cupping. Perhaps, in some moment of parameter adjustment, we can together find that path toward a rich, full-bodied flavor.
