Three Tech Innovation Companies Named to PEDaily's 2023 Sci-Tech Innovation 100 List | Xinwen NEWS
MetaX, RoboSense, and Micro-nano Starry Sky made the list.

Recently, the "China Sci-Tech Investment Summit" co-hosted by Zero2IPO and PEDaily was successfully held in Yangzhou. At the conference, the 2023 "PEDaily Sci-Tech 100" list was officially unveiled. Three companies from Heart Capital's portfolio — MetaX, RoboSense, and Micro-Nano Starry Sky — made the list.

This list was jointly launched by Zero2IPO and PEDaily, dedicated to uncovering unlisted sci-tech companies. Selection criteria span multiple dimensions including technological innovation, business model, competitive moats, and future commercial value. The aim is to identify 100 benchmark-setting sci-tech enterprises from among high-tech and strategic emerging industries — spanning next-generation information technology, advanced equipment, new materials, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and biomedicine — as well as from the convergence of internet, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing.

MetaX is committed to providing secure and reliable GPU chips and solutions for heterogeneous computing, building a full-stack GPU product lineup. The company has launched the MXN series (Xisi) for AI inference, the MXC series (Xiyun) for AI training and general-purpose computing, and the MXG series (Xicai) for graphics rendering — meeting data center demands for both "high energy efficiency" and "high versatility." MetaX products feature fully self-developed GPU IP with completely proprietary instruction sets and architectures, paired with a comprehensive software stack (MXMACA) compatible with mainstream GPU ecosystems. This end-to-end hardware-software integration gives MetaX a natural advantage in energy efficiency and versatility, enabling customers to build comprehensive ecosystem solutions. The company serves as a foundational computing pillar for data center construction and the digital, intelligent transformation of industries under China's "dual carbon" goals.

RoboSense is a global leader in Smart LiDAR Sensor Systems. Through a closed loop of LiDAR hardware, perception software, and chips, RoboSense provides the market with intelligent LiDAR systems capable of information comprehension — redefining traditional LiDAR as mere hardware for data collection and giving robots and vehicles perception capabilities that surpass human vision, safeguarding autonomous driving safety. As of end-2022, RoboSense had filed over 1,000 LiDAR-related patents globally. An AutoSens Award winner, Audi Innovation Lab champion, and two-time CES Innovation Award recipient, RoboSense has already established commercial traction: its partners span major autonomous driving technology companies, automakers, and Tier-1 suppliers worldwide, with products widely deployed across autonomous/assisted driving passenger and commercial vehicles, unmanned logistics vehicles, robots, RoboTaxi, RoboTruck, RoboBus, and smart transportation infrastructure. Its front-loaded, mass-production designated programs cover more than 50 vehicle models including supercars, coupes, SUVs, and heavy trucks.

Micro-Nano Starry Sky is among the earliest domestic satellite system developers with satellite manufacturing as its core business. The company primarily engages in whole-satellite R&D and manufacturing, providing in-orbit delivery services. It develops proprietary satellite platforms and core components, with capabilities spanning whole-satellite design, production, assembly, integration, and testing. The company possesses development capabilities for communication payloads, optical remote sensing payloads, and microwave remote sensing payloads, with demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate complex programs. Its self-developed satellite ground communication terminals and gateway stations, combined with experience in satellite ground communication system integration, enable it to provide users in defense, industry, and regional markets with integrated space-ground information system solutions based on satellite resources. To date, Beijing Micro-Nano Starry Sky Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully launched 17 satellites, ranging from 10 kg to 2 metric tons, including the Weina-1, Star Era, Tianyan, Taijing-3 01, and Taijing-4 01 optical and remote sensing satellites, a Ka-band communications satellite, and a science experiment satellite featured on CCTV's "Go for the Future" program.
