Code Time|"Magic Warehouse" Raises 20 Million Yuan in Seed Round Led by Source Code Capital

Focused on the innovative R&D of intelligent warehousing robots.

Suzhou Mocang Robotics, a warehouse robotics company, recently completed a RMB 20 million seed round. The round was led by Source Code Capital and K2VC, with HKX, Weihe Capital, and TusStar among the follow-on investors. The funds will be used for team building, product R&D, and market expansion both domestically and overseas.

Founded in January 2023, Mocang Robotics is an innovative company focused on intelligent warehouse robotics. Its core products are self-developed T-AMR robots and a software control platform. Drawing on its deep understanding of smart logistics and intelligent manufacturing, the company uses an AV-AS/RS system to replace traditional AS/RS systems.

For a long time, China's warehousing industry has faced numerous challenges: insufficient dynamic monitoring of warehouse capacity, making goods intake difficult; inability to monitor inventory in real time with precision, compromising both safety and efficiency; and massive, time-consuming manual effort required for inventory counts. Statistics show that fewer than 10% of China's 10 million small and medium-sized enterprises have implemented any form of informatization, with some still relying entirely on manual operations — a gap particularly pronounced among small logistics firms.

Mocang Robotics

Mocang's goal is to build a business model that is light on sales, production, and delivery. The company aims to boost productivity for smart manufacturing enterprises in their warehousing and logistics supply chain operations through its revolutionary Magic5S solution — a key technical enabler for "industrial verticalization" (moving factories into multi-story buildings). With its Magic Carpet T-AMR hardware and MagicVision software control platform as core products, Mocang uses its groundbreaking AVS/RS system to replace both traditional AS/RS systems and forklifts.

Multi-floor solution

In short, Mocang can reduce warehousing costs, enable multi-floor storage, and replace forklift-based solutions with pallet-handling automation. The company is oriented around solving real user needs and pain points, committed to delivering standardized products and modular software through flexible deployment — creating solutions that are highly adaptable, broadly compatible, efficient and stable, and quick to deploy, all to help users achieve optimal ROI.

Just six months after its founding, Mocang has already delivered its first project. The company expects its business to cover new energy, pharmaceuticals, food, intelligent manufacturing, and other physical industries.

On the team side, founder Changshun Cheng graduated from the University of Science and Technology Beijing with a degree in logistics engineering. He previously served as senior solution design engineer at Dematic, sales director at TGW, managing director of Inther China, and VP at Beijing Megvii — accumulating extensive operational and management experience, along with deep industry insight and sharp market intuition.
