PEDaily, the venture and investment information platform under Zero2IPO, has launched the "F40 China Youth Investors" list for five consecutive years. The F stands for Fancy — representing boundless imagination — and Future, representing forward-looking vision. The 2022 "F40 China Youth Investors" list has been officially unveiled.

A review of this year's selections shows that nearly 30 honorees focus on hard tech, a record high. Their investment portfolios include companies with tens or hundreds of billions in market cap, such as Hygon Information, Li Auto, Montage Technology, and Empyrean Technology, as well as a host of unicorns including CXMT, SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Horizon Robotics, PingCAP, SemiDrive, HAI ROBOTICS, MegaRobo, and MetaX.

Over 90% of this year's 40 youth investors hold master's degrees or higher, with approximately 10 holding PhDs — a vivid illustration that a master's degree has become the baseline credential for entering the VC/PE world. Science and engineering backgrounds have become the cradle of this generation of investors, with more than 25 such professionals surpassing those with business degrees.

In this year's selection, Xingshi Wang from Source Code Capital was named to the "F40 China Youth Investors" list.
