Sirius Pharma announced the completion of a nearly $40 million Series B+ funding round, with existing shareholder Source Code Capital continuing to increase its stake.

Starna Therapeutics, a MaHui portfolio company, recently announced the completion of a nearly $40 million Series B+ funding round. The round was jointly led by a prominent industry fund, with participation from Hillhouse, LYFE Capital, Lilly Asia Ventures (LAV), Sherpa Healthcare Partners, Source Code Capital, and Primavera Venture Partners.

Source Code Capital participated in the company's Series A round in 2022 and has continued its support since; in this round, it doubled down as an existing shareholder.

This financing follows the company's previous $44 million Series B round, marking another vote of confidence from leading institutions just six months later. The proceeds will primarily accelerate clinical development across multiple in vivo CAR-T pipelines, advance the construction of extrahepatic delivery platforms targeting the lungs, intestines, and nervous system, and strengthen the company's innovative R&D positioning in mRNA therapeutics.

Founded in August 2021, Starna Therapeutics is a clinical-stage company focused on mRNA drug development, dedicated to creating innovative mRNA medicines for patients worldwide through its proprietary extrahepatic delivery technology.
